💚 Your nervous system leads your execution. 💚
I was reminded of this very personally a couple of days ago. I had a stressful call with my sister - and even though the call itself ended, my body didn’t move on as quickly. I was so dysregulated afterward that I ended up essentially bed-ridden for a couple of days. Not lazy. Not unmotivated. Just… offline.. And that’s the thing we often miss, especially as entrepreneurs. When our nervous system takes a hit, productivity doesn’t just dip a little. Sometimes it stops entirely. In relationships, dysregulation can show up as triggers, shutdown, or emotional overwhelm. In business, it can look like procrastination, brain fog, avoidance, or not being able to access the part of us that knows what to do. No amount of pushing helps in those moments. What actually helps is tending to the nervous system first, letting the body settle so execution can come back online. This is why I keep saying: 💚 regulation isn’t separate from productivity 💚 emotional safety isn’t separate from follow-through 💚 and “doing nothing” for a bit can sometimes be the most strategic move So if you’re struggling to execute right now, it might not be a discipline problem. It might just be your nervous system asking for care. Curious - have you noticed moments where an emotional hit affected your ability to show up or work afterward? 💚

The keyword is “why” (if the all caps wasn’t enough). 😄 You can read mine here. 🥰 BUT before you do, I invite you to comment your response to the WHY question first. Then read mine; it'll be more insightful for you that way.💡

Just your presence and willingness to be there for us helps tremendously! but honestly would love to know how did you start it? I am working to set up my business and I struggle with lead generation and sales conversion. I feel I am doing everything right, I know I am capable of helping people, but the numbers are not adding up and that leaves me disheartened sometimes.
Multiple school threats at my son's school district...
This morning, we received an email from my younger son’s school district telling parents not to send their kids to school because multiple schools had received threats. The email came at 9:30 a.m. Justin was already at school. The message explained that all campuses were placed in Secure Status—not a lockdown, but a safety protocol where students and staff remain inside, perimeter doors are locked, and the school day continues while police assess the situation. Like any parent, my first instinct was: Go get my child. But the instructions asked parents not to come, so as not to disrupt safety procedures. A few minutes later, another email came through. This time, it shifted to a Modified Secure Status, which allowed parents to pick up their kids with ID. So we went. The helicopter circling our neighborhood was unnerving—but necessary. Justin is home now. Safe. And my nervous system is… discombobulated. My mind keeps moving through all the layers: - How the kids must have felt inside those buildings - How teachers and staff carried the weight of protecting them - How parents without flexible work or childcare options were processing this - How first responders showed up, again, for something that never should feel routine For 3 years, I was a legal analyst for Law & Crime Trial Network, covering and analyzing school shootings across the country. That experience gave me a deeper awareness of how many moving parts exist—inside schools, outside campuses, and inside families—during moments like this. Today, my brain isn’t fully back online for work. Justin is home, so my “work-from-home” rhythm is different. I confirmed two member calls earlier that I’ll now reschedule. And the video I planned to record about my Skool funnel—the one I told you all was coming—will wait. And honestly? That’s okay. The ability to pause, adjust, and prioritize my child in real time is one of the reasons I chose to build my own business. Days like today are a reminder that flexibility isn’t a luxury—it’s a value.
