Day 30 - dogs making mistakes
I had an interesting interaction in MVP group. Long story short there was a lady in there who had trouble getting positions with her dog. Her luring was all over the place and she was trying to use force to push his butt down resulting the dog doing exactly the opposite. She kept telling the dog he’s wrong and stupid etc All of us jumped in and offered her some advice but she was very determined that the dog is making the “mistake” Which led me to conversation with a fellow MVP. We both have little dogs who absolutely love training. I often hear that people “love Franks energy” He throws himself “all in” no matter what we are doing. And I’m wondering now it’s because he’s not scared or worried about making a mistake. I have learned over the years that 99.9% time it’s me causing the mistake with either confusing signals or lure etc so we just laugh it off. I do believe in clarity but also I love a dog who just jumps in and offers stuff. Maybe it’s because I never competed seriously so it’s not a biggie. Interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts and little video example of our “fail” 😁

@Susan Hoppe Thank you for sharing! I agree 1000% . People blaming their furry baby probably blame their computer too! At least the computer doesn't have feelings (yet). Perhaps people should not be blessed with having such an unconditional love 🙃
Weekend Off-Topic
We just had a moment of panic as Pablo had a big swollen cheek.... turns out he had a bit of carrot stuck in his mouth 🤦‍♂️ Anyone else had something like that?

Practicing kindness & gratitude is my focus. Caregiving for my Mom is my blessing. I stop for shells, feathers & rocks (competing w/kids on beaches)!
