Day 39-40 move program
Last few days I have been working on Dr Melanie’s Move program and it’s actually really good. Our homework is to take photos on different angles and analyze any weaknesses and imbalances. It’s cool she teaches us to do it instead of just doing it herself. Also working on platform stand and back up. Adjustment we need to make is not rushing but that’s story of Frank’s life haha I’m inspired to have another season of hoopers with Frank to complement the Scentwork. I’m thinking of starting with movement puzzles so watch this space. Anyone keen to do the two bowl games with us?

New Podcast with Canine Paradigm
You might have already seen I was the guest on the Canine Paradigm this week. You can catch the whole episode here: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/episode-360-nick-bengers-coming-out-party/id1317578834?i=1000753830237 Have you already checked it out? I honestly didn't really feel like I did a great job but I'm glad to have just got it off my chest all the same.

@Kelsey Jewell that mirrors my own experience as well. I find FF training often requires having a great deal of control over the dog in order to have success whereas a more balanced approach allows the dog to have much more freedom with less micromanaging. If you're using differential reinforcement the dog must do the chosen behaviour. If you're employing some punishment they can do literally anything but the one thing they're not allowed to do. I don't actually mind at all how other people choose to train but it's interesting to consider.
