I’ve got some devastating news to share.
Yesterday a bloke jumped off the overpass at Caboolture and took his own life. First of all, I want to send my deepest condolences to his family, his loved ones, and everyone affected by this. My heart goes out to you. If any of you happen to see this and need someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to reach out. This time of year is hard for a lot of people. And knowing someone got to a point where they felt so alone they chose the unthinkable honestly breaks my heart. Please take a moment today to really look around at your friends, your family, your mates. Ask the real questions. Check in properly. Not just “how are you,” but actually listen. None of us are meant to do life alone. If you’re struggling, if things feel heavy, if your mind is racing, reach out to someone. Anyone. And if you don’t have someone, I’m here. When a nervous system has been in survival for a long time, the “collapse” isn’t weakness it’s your body finally feeling safe enough to ask for rest, care, and softness. Early trauma leaves an imprint, and later experiences land on a system that’s already been protecting you for years. There’s nothing small about what you’ve lived through, and nothing wrong with moving slowly right now. This space exists so you don’t have to carry it quietly. Teresa I’ve met you in person and I know how much energy and light you actually carry. So hearing this tells me it’s not who you are. It’s just your nervous system needing a breather. That cycle you’re talking about, overthinking, overwhelm, procrastinating, then beating yourself up, is super common when the body’s been in stress for a long time. It doesn’t mean you’re failing. It just means you’re tired. You don’t have to fix everything right now. Just slow it down. Try this when it hits. Slow breath in through your nose. Long breath out through your mouth. Do that a few times. Then ask yourself what’s one small thing I can do today. Not everything. Just one. You’re not broken. You’re human. And you don’t have to do this alone. That’s why this space exists.
