I don’t have experience hosting yet, but here’s what I thought… At first read I was thinking, well the 12 year old isn’t going to be working all night & why would they be booking for the same day, such short travel plans. But then school just let out, maybe they hadn’t thought ahead enough and now they’ll need more beds since they’re traveling with a child. Who knows. My son has experience supervising stagehands and works with several staging companies setting up for events, usually the jobs are right here in our area but sometimes he gets called to work out of town and sometimes they’re setting up overnight. Maybe they’re doing something like that. Who knows. But something I’d be asking myself is whither the property would be accommodating enough for daytime sleepers? Is there a noise source nearby such as playground or busy street, are there blackout blinds? If this is a condominium or townhouse, are my neighbors home during the day, are they noisy, do they have a dog that barks during the day… etc. Hope all goes well, & happy hosting ☺️

@Shayler and Dominique McCarthy 😹 Coming from a household with four cats (too many foster fails 😻)… Cats are called finicky for a reason 🙀 and it’s not just referring to food! Changes in routine, house mates, and surroundings can be a really big deal for most of them and they’ll let you know just how they feel about it too! 😼 Charge away, and hopefully those shorter stays that still have a home to go home to will choose to get a pet sitter instead 👍

This brand “FXW” is sturdier than other brands we’ve tried, comes in various heights & lengths, and offers many accessories (ie post tips & bumpers to protect floors and walls) you can create an outdoor enclosure or an indoor playpen for pets. We use the 50” high set (which is taller than most would need, but we have a Dane) at our personal residence to create a safe potty zone for our dogs that is separate from the rest of the yard. I’m getting a set to have available as temporarily fencing in the front yard, for guests who would have trouble getting down the stairs to the fenced backyard of our daylight basement property.
