As I get older it feels like this happens more often! Especially as a gardener, time seems to speed up this time of year. Something I've found that helps a lot is some kind of intentional daily tracking. For the garden, I'm out there walking and seeing the progress and when you look at something like that every day, it feels like it slows time back down. There's also this sense of rushing that I've been working on letting go of, and when I allow tasks to just take the time they're going to take instead of rushing to maximize my time, that somehow makes me feel like time isn't rushing by me as quickly. I think it works because when we push ourselves too hard we then lose any time we might have gained in the after-work veg out required to recover from pushing that hard. Anyway, that's my half-baked thoughts on the subject. Enjoying my time on this earth has been on my mind a lot lately.
