Support Thread 🧠 Emotional Invalidation Audit
Hey everyone! This week, Doug released the Emotional Invalidation Audit – the tool that exposes why your most "reasonable" phrases are actually sabotaging your de-escalation. If you’re looking for the official home for this PDF, it’s now live in the Classroom under the 'Free Tools' section. We’ve set up this thread as a dedicated space for you to share what you’re noticing as you go through the audit. Quick check-in: 1. Which of the 7 phrases surprised you the most? 2. Which one are you committing to stop using today? I’ll be here in the comments to help you with "Better Moves" if you have specific scenarios you're working through! --- Access the Audit here.

The phrase that surprised me the most is: It’s going to be fine, don’t worry about it.”

I commit to stop using “It’s not that serious.”

@Christopher Mattox Thank you, Judge Mattox! The fact that you want to learn to bring more peace between angry litigants is a noble undertaking.

.Hi everyone! Over the past three years I was a full-time Caregiver for my husband who passed away five months ago. I took Doug’s de-escalation course several years ago and what I learned improved my life tremendously. When I saw that Doug is offering this format, I thought what a great opportunity to get back in the flow of being able to intuit emotions as they arise. I’ve become rusty and I want to become more proficient at acknowledging and labeling emotions.
Five Questions To Never Ask
Here's my video of the week. This is about five questions that will blow up every conflict. What's your feedback?

@Doug Noll. Thank you, Doug! Using TED in an emotionally heated conversation feels so good to me. And it will help to give clues for affect labeling.
