Getting in shape.
Somehow I never believed I could be "that guy," the one with an athletic muscular physique. But after committing to working out and eating better last year, I attended a conference this past weekend where I received many compliments about my changed appearance from people who had seen me at the same conference the year earlier. While it was very nice to receive compliments, I must say I am also also thrilled at how much better I feel! Good health, gentlemen, is so valuable. Good luck and wishes of great success to everyone on that journey!

@Justin Bailey thank you. The progress is addictive in its own way, and I now have genuine habits which means motivation is no longer (much of) an issue.
Incorrigible faux pas?
What is something which many consider a fashion no-no that you continue to rock with no intention of changing? While I have cleaned up my look pretty much across the board, I still incorporate sneakers, like Jordans, into my daily wear. Many would say that a 40+ year old professional shouldnt be wearing those, but as Charlton Heston said - "from my cold dead hands."
Subtle and fleeting...
I live in Japan. Research shows that on average Japanese have less body odor AND a stronger sense of smell. (A broad generalization.) Japanese rarely wear fragrances. (NOT a broad generalization, just truth.) Throw in the commuting on packed trains, and you can see the issue. I would like to dabble in fragrance, but it really needs to be subtle subtle and even more subtle. Any recommendations?

@Michael LoCascio Sr thank you!
What's your style bargain of the week/month?
Just picked up these Barker Brogues (Made in England Goodyear Welted full grain leather shoes) slight seconds for £75 ($94), unworn and only ever tried on in the store (reason for seconds status shown in final pic). Apologies for the jeans, working from home today, wouldn't normally wear these with blue jeans! For the benefit of the Americans in this group, in England, the British shoe manufacturers Barker and Loake (Loake 1880, not Loake Design, which is a diffusion line), are comparable shoes to Allen Edmonds

I paid a whopping $8 for this "handmade in Italy" leather belt. A few small signs of wear, but the majority of its life is yet to come. (I speculate the owner became thinner or fatter and couldn't wear it.)
Let's talk pocket squares!
Do you wear pocket squares? What's your favorite pattern, and fold?

Absolutely. There are many menswear enthusiasts in Japan, but "pocket-chief" as they call them here aren't a standard part of the business uniform. So, simply by incorporating one it becomes my most complimented piece! I learned to do several folds from the Gentleman's Gazette channel, but don't remember the names of them... I have all manner of color and patterns, and always choose them to compliment my tie, but not full on match it. An extra splash of a different color and pattern goes a long ways!
