Welcome!! So glad you joined the group my friend!!! I’ll call you tomorrow morning.
Hello From the Buckeye State
Hey all! 43 and I think I am in the thick of it 🥴 Joint pain, brain fog, heavy bleeding (not sure how I am not dead every month), low iron, extreme lethargy are my current woes… I’m sure more are on the horizon. I finally got my ish together and saw a new OBGYN (mine retired) to rule out fibroids or something else… I hope to have answers next week. But preliminary discussions evolved around birth control as a means to deal with the blood loss 😑… that doesn’t seem like the right approach to this. Needless to say, I’m coming around to the idea of HRT.. Life is too short to feel like hell all the time. Thanks for having me here. Excited to learn from others who have been down this road.

Perimenopause & Chronic Sinus Issues 🤧
If you’re in perimenopause/menopause and struggling with chronic congestion, post nasal drip, or sinus pressure… this is for you. 🫵🏻 Here are 4 ways perimenopause can affect your sinuses: 👉🏻 Estrogen decline causes Mucus to become thicker 👉🏻 Estrogen decline triggers Mast cells to release more histamine 👉🏻 Progesterone & testosterone decline cause airway tissues to swell more 👉🏻 Less estrogen = more inflammation 🎥 Watch the full video here for congestion hacks: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DV16c3sERtZ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== If OTC remedies like nasal sprays, antihistamines, DAO enzymes, quercetin, etc. are not giving you enough relief, it may be worth exploring hormone therapy to address the root cause. 👏🏻

That’s me and I’m in post menopause
5 of the WEIRDEST Perimenopause Symptoms… how many do you have? 👀🏆
Let’s play a quick game… give yourself 1 point for each 👇 All of these have one thing in common: estrogen fluctuations 🫠 🚪 Doorway Syndrome: Hormonal fluctuations can impair short-term memory, word recall, and the brain’s ability to quickly store and retrieve new information. 🧠 Brain Zaps: Estrogen fluctuations disrupt serotonin signaling and overall nervous system stability, leading to brief, shock-like sensory disturbances in the brain. 🥶 Cold Flashes: Estrogen fluctuations can cause sudden shifts in blood flow & heat distribution that can make you feel abruptly chilled, shaky, or goose-bumpy even without a change in the environment. 😵‍💫 Vertigo: Estrogen fluctuations affect the inner ear and vestibular system, disrupting balance signals between the ear, eyes, and brain and causing sensations of dizziness or spinning. 👀 Vision Changes: Estrogen fluctuations affect tear production, eye tissues, and visual processing in the brain, which can lead to dry eyes, blurred vision, and difficulty focusing. Score yourself below 👇 how many did you get?!

Post menopause and bone density
After menopause can bone density decline due to lower estrogen levels. I’ve been told by my PCP that I’m post menopausal and my last bone scan showed Low bone mass (osteopenia). How can I prevent bone loss?
