Time is a pendulum, not linear
The present, the now, is all we ever experience. We can project our mind into an imagined future or past memory (and in doing so we borrow time from the present) but fundamentally we are always in the present. Like a pendulum our perception of time swings between past and future and through stillness, rests in the predominant state of now.

Science v Spirituality
Hey guys. I’m new here, and to spirituality practice in general, and trying to understand myself and who I really am. Why I’m here. What Rey has explained in his videos really resonates with me and I find a lot of comfort and clarity. While watching there have been a few moments my jaw dropped in realization. But I recently had the thought about evolution and the supposed ‘big bang’/creation of earth, humanity… everything- and comparing it to Genesis in the Bible and seeing conflicting evidence. I’ve seen discussion online about the Bible and other texts being purely spiritual interpretation and are not meant to be scientific and explain science, or to even be taken in a literal sense. But I’m curious what others think about evolution and the creation of ‘everything’ vs spirituality and faith, and how it correlates or does not? Or if it even matters/ is relevant in the grand scheme of practice. It makes me doubt things, I think my brain is trying to protect me from a false sense of comfort or hope. Any input is greatly appreciated! (I’m not meaning to cause any arguments or make accusations on one thing being more real than the other 🤍)

The replies say all I would have said myself. You will soon realise that everything is the same thing.
When you look at your results, what belief about yourself are they confirming?
Most people already know the answer. They just don’t want to say it. I wonder what comes up for you when you hear this....

That I’m incredibly lucky and things always go the way I want them too :))
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
I wanted to share this gem, it’s been my anchor since the beginning of my spiritual journey. The chapters are short and come in two styles. Some are written in Q&A format whereby the author teaches his practices by answering common questions or there’s regular chapters where he explains concepts surrounding meditation, oneness etc. He repeats his ideas throughout the book with slightly different explanations and terminology so that you have multiple chances at understanding his teachings.

I'm curious.
What moment in your life first made you realise there is more to life than you had been told.

A few years ago I survived an attempt on my own life and stayed in hospital. I became aware of “I am”. I haven’t been able to comprehend what happened in those days; I believe I died. My understanding of the world died. My reality and sense of “self” died. I was somewhere that felt different to everything I had known and yet it was objectively the “same”, like an alternate reality. I had this sensation that I wasn’t meant to survive and that I didn’t, that I was walking an alternate path where that version of me had survived but that this was not my original reality. I had been so afraid of death which was ironic but I guess fear died in that moment too. I existed with no identity or need to think. I just was. It was quiet beautiful actually
