Really enjoyed watching Ron show the children at the city of Brunswick and the City of Savannah how OtterBall is played!

What books is everyone reading about Leadership and developing leaders?

Great question @Tabetha Napier I am going to have to see if our library carries the Power of Moments. How did you read the book as a team @Brandon Washington ? Do you have a favourite "quote" by Ziglar you could share with us Neva?

Oh wow! Thank you for this @Brandon Washington 🙂
Meredith King
Last night, Meredith King joined me as a guest on Navigating Neva, and this episode was special to me. I’ve been meeting with Wes for a long time, and I’ve had the chance to meet Meredith in person, but having her as a guest on my podcast felt really exciting. More importantly, Meredith is a gem. We are very similar in the way we approach swim lessons — thoughtful, intentional, and focused on meeting swimmers where they are. I loved getting to hear more of her story, her business journey, and how she teaches. If you work in aquatics, teach swim lessons, or just love hearing from people who care deeply about this work, you should listen to this episode. https://open.spotify.com/episode/2nVijg7qlGk11r7a6K8IqT?si=O1iOddZgT7ezoitZaUsV4A

Would Meredith happen to be Wes' wife? If so, I can't wait to hear how they met!
Older adult and fecal incidences 😬
Got a question I've never had to deal with and I would like professional thoughts. Our janator told me they think an older gentleman with mobility issues, is leaving fecal matter on benches, seats and floor in the locker room and found some in the swim suit spinner today, a significant amount. I have passed it on to my director. We are going to be checking chems immediately after he leaves and operating on the protocol for suspected fecal. Every time he come to swim we pool will be closed for 30 minutes and shocking if needed. He comes at a minimum 3 days a week. We haven't found any fecal matter in the pool. Are there any products we could use to help him stay sanitary in the pool and our facilities that are good in water? What would you do to try and accommodate him but also keeping your facilities clean and patron safe?

I wonder if he has an issue with his body, where it is sometimes a mad dash to the toilet. What an awkward situation. Medicine from his Doctor could help him. Is there someone at your facility who could discuss this matter with him, in a gentle, caring way? Letting him know you have been cleaning up after him?

And I wonder if he knows about these? If a sample could be given to him.
Selena Willows Week 6
In tonight's episode of Navigating Neva, Selena discussed how swim skills can become unintentionally gatekept when “prerequisites” turn into rigid myths. A thoughtful episode for swim instructors, aquatic professionals, parents, and anyone ready to rethink how we teach swimming with more awareness, flexibility, and respect for the individual swimmer. https://youtu.be/yKyiUuh3hk8

Selena's reasoning for NOT teaching blowing bubbles really made me think!
