Considering mste for my tfsa. Any thoughts or advice from the community ? TIA

Personally I hold Mste in both my TFSA and non-reg accounts. Because of the volatility and ROC benefits, feel more comfortable growing this in the non-reg.
Canadian Non-Reg Account question.
Hey Community, for 2026 is the first year that i will have a non-reg account. have a question about next tax season. ( I live on Vancouver Island , B.C.) I am only holding only MSTE in this account for now will use the dividends to buy other Canadian ETF'S that qualifie for the Canadian tax break down the road. I talked to my accountant and they said i will probably have to pay taxes on my dividends earned in this non - reg account, but from listening to the Friday live stream sounds like i might not have to? My question's -If i pull the Dividend out of the non - reg from MSTE and put in my chequing account do i pay tax on the dividend's? -If i leave the Dividend in the Non-Reg account would i still pay tax?

@Peter Eckstein Good information. I’ll have to finish watching Adriano’s video.

Proper terminology is important when talking about taxes. Distributions is what everyone is collecting. Each distribution is broken down into ROC/Capital Gains/Eligible Dividends for tax purposes. Understanding each category will help you understand the taxes you would pay is a non-reg account. This will differ, depending on which province you live in. Eligible dividends will be taxed higher than capital gains. ROC is the best for a non-reg account.

This was a great video. It’s good to learn and hear about the strategy right from the experts themselves.

My $9,000/Month Portfolio - CHECK BACK OFTEN - UPDATED WEEKLY
I am building a website that I can update the link in, here's what I have so far: https://garygillx.lovable.app/ I will turn this into an app/interactive website eventually where you can all upload your portfolio's as well, and share them here in the group the same way I am. It's just easier to view. ***NOTE*** This Cash Balance could easily increase by $200k+ in 2026, all depends on how much more cash I feel like allocating, how many ETF's I end up buying etc. ***NOTE*** This is part of my "Retirement Portfolio" so the Priority is Income + some growth.
