Essence means seed or core. Ray-key is the seed/core meaning as well as pronunciation of the Japanese word "reiki." It is a ray of strong sunlight. It is a beam of electrical force. It is the presence of all-that-is within the awareness of those present to it. It is key to ensuring the health of the human being. I'LL REPEAT this crux of the matter that Reiki is: REIKI IS KEY TO ENSURING THE HEALTH OF THE HUMAN BEING. Declared or undeclared. We turn it on by declaring it ON. This is why it is easy for children to learn and use. We turn it off by declaring if OFF, to conserve and reserve energy, just as light turns into darkness to return to light. Reiki is a way to handle life. Literally HANDLE or shape, as in candle or light up, this life. We use hands to be/do/have Reiki. To shape and serve Light. Reiki is at the center of all hand-healing, no matter the name. And at the center of all hand-healing practice is intention: It can only be good. This simple tool is a profound ray, beam, presence and key to a fulfilling life. Simple to wax poetic about, maybe harder to be still and receive.
