Habits > Goals ? 🫡 Share Your Thoughts 💭
👉 Let's talk about what habits or standards you are implementing that will move you closer to what you want to be in 2026. I'm less of a big goal person in recent years, and more of a daily habit person. Please hear me out. Close your eyes 🫣 and think about what three 3️⃣ things done every day would make your life the best it could be. Nope ... 🤚 stop reading. Close your eyes and take a minute. Be honest with yourself as you think. You're not reading this because your eyes are closed 🫣 and you're thinking. 😉 👀 Okay. Now that you have them, write them down. ✍️ How you write them matters. Write them in the form of something you DO. For example, if one of the things was "to read", then write it as: "I read every day before bed for 5 minutes." 1) "I do ___ every day [this much]" 2) Use a minimal amount that can always be done no matter how bad the day 3) When do you do it during the day? You might do it sooner or later at times, but give your brain a target I call this list of statements my motif. 🥸 Let me share a personal example to see if it helps. In 2025, one of mine was a 3 item combo I titled "first things first." It was: 1️⃣Read my motif, 2️⃣ Read the scriptures (even just one word), and 3️⃣ pray. Forgive the personal nature of this, but these were a few things that I felt strongly would improve my life if I did them consistently. The consistency wasn't perfect, but these new habits were powerful to me. 🫷 Don't make too many. I recommend 1-3 items. These are not goals, these are new standards that you WILL do every day. Too many expectations means a negative feedback loop that kills it. If you need more things, make them goals, not your new habit / standard. We will build on these habits over time, we don't need to add them all now. Here are some categories to consider: 🟢 Physical life 🔵 Social life (including family) 🟡 Spiritual life 🟠 Intellectual life (including work) Personal Share ... be kind. In 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣, my new habits were about my spiritual and work life.
