Pause for a second, this might be exactly what you need to read today.
January is winding down, and for some of us, it feels like the month slipped through our fingers. Expectations were high, but reality had its own plans. If you’re sitting there hoping February brings a better rhythm, you’re not alone. This is your reminder that progress isn’t always loud or perfect; sometimes it starts with a decision made right now. A new month doesn’t change things… your next move does. As we step into February, what’s one honest goal you’re committing to, even if it feels small? Share it below and let’s hold each other accountable.

Great post @Eliza Ann Barlow -thank you for posting. I have now created weekly targets which are small but achievable. In January I tried to do too much and whilst I did move forward I was trying to do too much. My weekly targets are now smaller but more achievable which gives me a quicker sense of achievement and a resulting motivation to move and go again. This week’s target is to finish an investors’ brochure detailing the types of properties and projects that I source and package.
Why confidence doesn’t come from experience, it comes from preparation
Most people think confidence shows up after they’ve done a few deals. It doesn’t. Confidence comes from knowing: - your numbers - your strategy - what you’re looking for - and what you’ll say when someone pushes back - You don’t need 10 years of experience to speak to agents, analyze deals, or make offers. You need clarity. That’s why two people can walk into the same situation: - one hesitates - the other moves decisively Same opportunity. Different level of preparation. Experience just refines confidence, it doesn’t create it. Preparation does.

Couldn’t agree more @Liam J Ryan it’s about knowing exactly what you offer and what ‘you are ‘ and being able to real that information off as realist as you do your name or address 👍😁

Welcome to the group Lort @Lort Mike 😁👍
Pause. This is not a normal post.
You scroll. You read. You tell yourself you’re figuring things out. But there’s a quiet pressure you keep pushing aside. That feeling you should be further by now. That sense of being busy but not moving. That inner nudge telling you something needs to change. Here’s the uncomfortable truth: Silence keeps you stuck. Clarity starts when you say what you’ve been holding in. So let’s break the pattern. No filters. No pretending. No perfect answers. What thought keeps coming back when everything goes quiet? What frustration have you not said out loud? What are you tired of carrying alone? Drop it here. free your mind. Say it.

What a brilliant post @Ethan Clarke - thank you for posting. I feel like I’m trudging through treacle at the moment with trying to produce decent magnet articles to attract investors. I write or produce something then sit on it for days telling myself it’s not good enough. Constantly thinking too much and not simply doing.
Baby steps
Had a productive day making a few magnet articles to post on SM with the hope of starting to attract investors soon. Little by little - a little each day will hopefully build up to a lot and success. What have other people been doing in taking those baby steps ?
