✨ Metallic gels deserve a little patience ✨
Okay, don’t cancel metallic polishes just yet. 🙅‍♀️When you first paint them on, they can look streaky, dull, or like “meh, I wasted my money.” BUT, give them a minute (literally). ⏳ If you let them sit for 1–2 minutes before curing, the pigments smooth themselves out, and then you’ve got that mirror-like shine you were dreaming of. I’ve dropped a before-and-after below 👇 - same polish, same nail, just a couple minutes apart. One looks streaky… the other looks like liquid chrome. 💡 Pro tip: If you’re working on nail art with metallics, paint all your designs first, then circle back to cure once they’ve had their little “rest and settle” moment. It makes a HUGE difference. Have you tried this trick before? Or do metallic gels still give you grief? 👀

🪥 Striping Tape Trauma
Do you still use striping tape, or has it been replaced by fine liners and hand-painting?

@Courtney Finlay absolutely stunning 😍
Have you tried these little bumps? 💅
I saw one of my chronic skin-pickers today and I’m so excited to see that the little “fidget bumps” looked like they’re working for her! Not my original idea - another nail tech put me onto the idea of the small raised bumps near the areas of skin most prone to being picked at. It’s supposed to satisfy the urge. 🌻 My client was a bit skeptical, so we only tried it on the one nail at her last appointment, and there’s definitely an improvement in the skin around that nail! I’ve attached photos of her other fingers to give an example of how the thumb was looking before. This time we put bumps on all the affected fingers, and I’ll be seeing her again in 3 weeks to see if they’ve worked all around! Has anyone else tried these? 💛
