Free sample outreach, bait & switch doesn't work anymore - here's why I'm not doing it anymore
I hate it, I despise it, and I will never do it again. I won't preach something I don't do either. A couple months ago I heard about these methods like "high value" ''bait & switch" and ''trojan horse'' outreach methods. I spent about $1,500 on a course from a guru that taught me those methods. I tried the free sample method method first. So I sat there for HOURS (even days) crafting free samples for creators I really wanted to work with. I felt REALLY hopeless because I not only spent thousands on that course, On top of that I spent hours on just one client, even days, only to get rejected. And I was even more pissed because I struggled reaching out to more people. And the bait & switch/tojan horse method just felt so fake & scammy. People clocked I was selling to them anyway and got pissed off. So I did my own thing instead, broke the rules, flipped the method upside down, kept it simple, and did everything they told me was "wrong." And every single client I've landed since then has come through this one single outreach method. Multiple clients that have been paying me £300, £700/month, $1,250/month, $1500/month, $3,500/m, even $5,000 from a single client in a month - And have kept clients for months increasing their lifetime value by thousands each month. It's essentially High Volume Personalised Direct Offer Outreach. (that's not a shiny name btw, that's literally what the outreach method is lol) All you have to do is dial in your offer, create the msg once, tweak it a bit for each person and send it, get the replies, book the calls, close the client, get them results, get paid. Instead of spending hours on one person where you're so disappointed when they say no, this one's like "okay sweet, let's move on to the next person boom boom." And the process allows you to build trust even if you have no experience or initial results. This is what helped me land my first client in the first week of starting and all my clients up until now. - You need to do volume - Get to the point because they don't have time - Have an offer around the skill you provide so it separates you from everyone else & makes it easy for them to say yes to you - GENUINELY Personalise it to them (not the lovey-dovey type omg I love your content I'm a huge fan! that's so fake) - Still get to build trust and get to use your skills in the real world (not samples that prospects devalue) - Come across more trust worthy & honest than spammy, scammy and fake - And you'll have a clearer way to getting paid
