Question
What is the most annoying blunder or pattern that keeps repeating itself in most of your recent rapid games?
0 likes • 14d
@Ranganatha P yeah😂 i feel you , what are you trying to do to limit this blunder happening more often?

@Ranganatha P that's a great first step!
Do you do this in your games?
- Do you make a move for yourself and for your opponent or you only think about your moves and get shocked when you drop a piece or get checkmated?

@Adam Aziz i feel your pain , i used to go through the same thing at your level , but it's not difficult to fix , my advice is just UNDERSTAND your openings more and the positions that stem from them , you need to have a clear idea of where your pieces belong and what is the plan before even going into the middlegame , so you need to prep a little to push further than your current level , maybe learning a new line where you know that you have to attack on the queenside and go for minority attack or pawn storm , you just need to know where you want to go with your pieces after the middlegame and then with a clear idea in mind the position will play itself

@Adam Aziz you can either watch top players explaining the opening and its ideas on YT but you need to search until you find a GM or IM explaining them and if you couldn't then you have to do it on your own by searching for games played at the top level using your openings and just understand how these top players play the positions that u usually get and then day by day apply some of the moves they do . once you understand what you're required to do , it will be much easier to play the game and make good moves because you're playing the positions the right way :)
Requesting for a thought process game review on Yt

Hey there! that was a good game, you missed the fastest way to win material by capturing a pawn and trapping their rook but you played well for an 800 ELO player! , and I'm not sure why your opponent resigned , it was playable :)
