- when you want to learn something new about chess , what do you do? - do you study some books, purchase courses, or just play and hope for the best :)
I watch videos and I have used courses on Chessly so I can learn ideas without having to play them in games at the start. I've been meaning to getting some books but don't know which ones are great. If you have any advice on chess books I'd love to hear them.
- You're Black in this position. - What's the fastest way to win here? - No wrong answers, just different ways of converting the advantage, so shoot your shot :)
I prefer 10 time control but should probably play 15+10 so that I have more time to think and not have to worry about flagging as much especially in the endgame. I think personally 30+ is hard to justify for me unless it is over the board.
@Coach Adam I've been incredibly busy with my MFA Thesis that I have to turn in in a week and have been out of town. so it has been hard to play some games. Don't worry! I still love the game :)
I think Rf1is best? Because our knight is hanging on h4 but so is there bishop on e4. If Bxh4, fxe4 , Nxe4 the resulting would lose us a pawn but they would have doubled pawns and we would have an open rook.
