One conversation. Zero pitch. Booked a call. Hereโs how...
You never know where your next lead will come from.ย I found mine between the cereal and the avocados. Yesterday, I ran into an old friend at the grocery store. This morning, I remembered his brother owned a small renovation business, so I gave him a call. After a quick catch-up, I told him I wasnโt calling to sell anything. I simply explained what Iโve been up to โ web design and lead generation โ and asked: โDo you know anyone who might benefit from a free digital marketing consultation?โ His reply? โYeah, what would a website cost โ and what would it take to promote?โ After just a bit of explaining, Iโve got a meeting booked with him next week for a full audit of his current setup and promised to go into detail during the call. Hereโs the takeaway: You donโt need to pitch. You just need to show up, offer value, and ask the right question. Friends, family, old classmates, mutuals โ someone in your circle runs a business. And most of them could use help online. โ
Message someone you havenโt spoken to in a while. โ
Give a compliment. Tell them what youโre doing. โ
Ask if they know someone who might need what you offer. Then stop talking โ and listen. Worst case? You plant a seed. Best case? You book a meeting. Keep prospecting โ and keep it warm. #SalesTips #Prospecting #LeadGeneration #Networking
