Last Week’s Experiment
Last week I was experimenting and put together a 13-second edit — basically the opening of a music video. It’s a little homage to the 90s grunge/rock scene that inspired me when I was younger. Short, raw, and fun to make. What are you working on?
Last Week’s Experiment
It shows me how much I have to learn. Thanks.
Hi y'all
I'm Robert, brazilian living in New Orleans - LA. I'm a video editor and motion designer, more focused on motion now, actually, but interested in filmmaking as well. I'm trying to catch all those AI surge (as much as my wallet permit).
Hi y'all
@Robert Oliveira 5-10 seconds would be good. With a surprising heavy element flying past in the foreground, against the wind, for example, an elephant.
@Robert Oliveira That gif hits the nail on the head. I feel the same way.
Trying a more grounded sequence
I wanted to really test the limits of the techniques we're all trying here. I decided to put together a sequence that I could probably film myself. I figure if I can get something so familiar looking right then it'll be easier to get more fantastical subjects and settings working believably. So to that end, here's my morning coffee routine. For now it's just a series of images representing each shot in the sequence, all made with Nano Banana. I figure I'll end up needing some more insert shots and cutaways once I get into the video edit, but this is a good place to start.
Trying a more grounded sequence
This is a very good place to start - like the mood of these pictures.
Lesson 1: first cinematic AI shot
I used this prompt vom Brief Builder from Motion Science: A dark, cinematic scene. A man stands in a dimly lit, decayed room, facing a cracked mirror. The camera is positioned over his shoulder, showing his worn, tattered clothing in muted browns and grays, silhouetted in the foreground. In the mirror’s reflection, a werewolf stares back—menacing, fashionably dressed in a deep charcoal suit with subtle silver highlights. Moonlight streams through a dusty window to the side, glowing in cold blue and silver tones, casting sharp beams and long shadows across the room. The cracked mirror glass splinters across the werewolf’s face, glinting faintly in the light. The overall palette is desaturated with moody blues, cold grays, pale skin tones, and silver accents, creating an oppressive and surreal atmosphere. Hope you like it.

@Jason Skoolip Thanks a lot.
@Ed Reyes Thank you so much.
The Deep Blue Sea (Music Video)
This is an AI music video I created before joining this class. Veo3 had not released at the time so this is a mixture of Veo2 and Kling 1.6 I look forward to applying the concepts taught in the course here for my next video!
Like it very much.
