Office Pace: an admittedly dumb short
Some things I wanted to test out with this idea: scene setup, camera angles, AI nerd "humor," character consistency, and dialogue in Veo 3. Taking this one as a lesson in "letting go" and dropping it here to tell myself it's done. Or as done as it's gonna be. Critiques welcomed.

Nice cutting back and forth. What was that moment at the end? What does it represent? Where everything goes dark.

@Chris Greene I thought that might have been your intention. Great work!
How do you unplug Skynet?
Hi from London. Back on the Motion Science rocket into the unknown. Hobbyist, semi-pro illustrator, with an itch to put the visuals in my head to some of my favourite music. Let's see what this artificial bitch can do! 🦾

Welcome!
AI stack efficiency
Hey all! I'm embracing the dark side and building my AI stack today. I have a midjourney sub and am looking for a platform that gives me access to nano banana for refinement. Also looking for an upscaler but don't really want to add magnific to the stack just for upscaling. Higgsfield looks cool, gives me nano, an upscaler and bonuses such as veo 3 and Kling. Combined with manual editing I think I might have enough bases covered with midjourney and higgsfield subs. The question is Runway, do I need to add this in aswell or will vid gen offered through midjourney and higgsfield be good enough? Looking to start doing short from content, social cuts etc

I'm not a huge fan of Runway. I've tried testing it for a variety of projects and it just doesn't perform super great for my needs. There are certain functions that it does well. Depending on what you're looking to create it may or may not be a good fit. My understanding is that Higgsfield is very similar to another platform I use called FreePik.
Last Week’s Experiment
Last week I was experimenting and put together a 13-second edit — basically the opening of a music video. It’s a little homage to the 90s grunge/rock scene that inspired me when I was younger. Short, raw, and fun to make. What are you working on?

Glad You’re Here (Read This First)
Hey, welcome! 👋 I’m really glad you’re here. This whole thing — the AI Filmmaker Lab — is about experimenting and figuring out how to make AI films feel cinematic instead of just… AI. We’re gonna learn together, share what’s working, what’s not, and push each other to make better stuff. Here’s where to start: - Introduce yourself over in the Introductions area. Just a quick post — who you are, what got you curious about AI filmmaking, maybe what you want to create. Doesn’t need to be fancy. - Check out the starter course. After you say hello, go through the short course I made. It won’t take long, but it’ll show you the process I use to generate cinematic films. Real simple, real practical — something you can try right away. What to expect: every single week, something new will drop here. That could be a fresh prompt, a new course, or another resource to help you level up. So if you’re just joining and it feels a little light — don’t worry. This Lab is alive, and it’s going to keep growing week after week. That’s it for now. From here, share your work, your experiments, even the messy stuff. This isn’t about being perfect — it’s about moving forward and creating together. Glad you’re here. – Cameron
