Are You Asking for Support… or Permission?
I see this all the time after talking to hundreds of mothers... A woman says, “I just need to ask my husband if I can do this…” Let me stop you right there. You're not a teenager asking to borrow the car. You're a grown woman. A mother. A critical piece of your family’s well-being. And yet… we’ve been so deeply conditioned to ask for it instead of declare it. To downplay our own needs To justify every dollar spent on ourselves To feel guilty for taking up space — or asking for time, energy, support, or help. Especially for my stay-at-home moms and trust me, I know what you’re thinking... “But I don’t make the money, so I don’t get to decide how it’s spent.” But here’s the truth mama. Because you save your family thousands of dollars by being home. You run the household. You raise the babies. You show up all day, every day. You are the CEO of your home and you deserve a “paycheck” just like anyone else on the team. You deserve to have a say. You deserve to take care of your body You deserve to feel strong, healthy, and whole because your health is the foundation of your family’s health. And if you have a daughter, ask yourself this... What message are you teaching her when you constantly put yourself last? When you whisper your needs instead of owning them? This episode is your wake-up call. I’m diving into the difference between asking for support vs. asking for permission, and how to shift the conversation with your spouse in a way that’s clear, confident, and collaborative — without guilt. ✨ You are not “just” a mom ✨ You don’t need to apologize for investing in yourself ✨ You are allowed to say, “This is what I need. How can we make it work?” 🎧 Tune in now to hear the full conversation, learn the communication frameworks, and reclaim your voice. You are worthy of taking up space, mama. https://open.spotify.com/episode/1ahSVIRGv5Z599r1D2lPoz?si=31dfb73544074168 Drop a ❤️ if this hit home. Let’s talk about it below ⬇️

I love this. I do always feel like I'm asking permission, or really waiting for it to be given without my actual asking. Maybe I'll have an easier time speaking up for myself if I frame it from a support perspective.
Jaw/Pelvic Floor Connection
The video discussing the correlation and similarities between the jaw and the pelvic floor really correlated with me. As long as I remember, I've always clenched my jaw, and damaged a lot of my teeth over the years. I've slept with a bite guard most of my adult life. I remember when preparing to birth my daughter the discussion open opening the mouth and jaw to open the cervix and pelvic floor. I look forward to learning more through your videos and hopefully FINALLY bringing relief to both of these areas. You've given me hope!

@Jessica London I've tried massages, yoga, Tai chi, Qigong, stretching, Epsom salt baths, meditation, tense and release, icy hot, red light therapy... So yes, I've tried a few things with no notable difference.
Let's Talk About VBAC 🤔
So many moms are never told they have a choice after a C-section, and even fewer moms are supported in exploring what that choice could look like. If you’ve ever felt like your first birth didn’t go how you hoped… or you’re navigating the fear, pressure or confusion of considering a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), you are so not alone. Whether you’re just starting to research your options or you’ve already walked the VBAC path, I’d love to open this up for some real talk: ✨What did you feel, if anything, was missing from your birth experience? ✨If you’ve had a VBAC, what helped you feel empowered in that decision? Or what do you wish had gone differently? ✨Have you ever been told VBAC wasn’t an option for you?Let’s talk about the power of reclaiming your birth story. And if you’re looking for honest insight, encouragement, and a real-life VBAC journey—this conversation with doula Hannah Gill and I is absolutely worth a listen. https://open.spotify.com/episode/0eNO8TWWKNJJldDGtqEEwW?si=1a5b9a992f9e4eda

Hello from Michigan! My daughter will be 5 in a couple weeks, and we've been trying for #2 since she was born, which was in the very beginning of COVID. I've tried several in-home video trainings for the pelvic floor and none of them worked, in fact, they seemed to make things worse. I finally got a referral through my primary doctor to go to a pelvic floor physical therapist. I'm about to fire her. She's never done a physical assessment and we haven't made any progress in 5 months of seeing her once a month, some of which are virtual. Based on what I've described, she assumes I have a tight pelvic floor, vs weak, which is why none of the other programs have worked for me. But she gave me no stretching exercises, just a couple breathing things to try. So I'm here hoping to find some options to relax the pelvic floor, and provide any insight to others based on all my experiences.
