Introduction
Hello Wandering Creatures, My name is Basel, I enjoy hiking and I love nature. I am semi-retired and have time during the week and some weekends to go hiking. I enjoy easy hikes but I love challenging hikes more. If anyone would like to hike during the week and start your first challenging and exciting hike, let’s do it.

🌿 The Nature Connection Pyramid: Why It Matters
We all know spending time outdoors feels good — but did you know how often you get outside matters just as much as where you go? That’s the idea behind the Nature Connection Pyramid. It’s a simple framework that shows us how to build a healthy relationship with the natural world: - Daily: Step outside nearby — a walk through your neighborhood, sitting under a tree, tending a garden. - Weekly: Go a little deeper — local parks, rivers, or trails that reset your week. - Monthly: Stretch yourself — regional adventures like camping, kayaking, or a day in the forest. - Annually / Bi-Annually: Big wilderness trips that reconnect you to something larger than yourself. Just like healthy eating or exercise, stacking these layers creates balance and resilience. Daily moments of nature keep us grounded, while those big adventures recharge us on a deeper level. 👉 Over the next few weeks, we’ll dive into each layer of the pyramid together — with challenges, reflections, and ways to bring more wildness into your life. For now, I’d love to hear from you: What’s one way you connect with nature daily?
