It’s a simple framework that shows us how to build a healthy relationship with the natural world: - Daily: Step outside nearby — a walk through your neighborhood, sitting under a tree, tending a garden. - Weekly: Go a little deeper — local parks, rivers, or trails that reset your week. - Monthly: Stretch yourself — regional adventures like camping, kayaking, or a day in the forest. - Annually / Bi-Annually: Big wilderness trips that reconnect you to something larger than yourself. Just like healthy eating or exercise, stacking these layers creates balance and resilience. It’s wild how much of a difference just 20–30 minutes of walking outside can make. Clearer head, better mood, less stress — and somehow it even makes the work part of life easier after. I’ve noticed when I walk daily, I come back more focused and able to handle things better. It’s like a reset button. Did you know? Harvard Medical School found that just 20–30 minutes of daily walking can reduce anxiety, improve memory, and boost creativity.
