Confession time… don’t judge me... Or Do, Your Choice
Okay… slightly gross question, so apologies in advance Does anyone else have a picking problem? Like… if there’s a scab on my body, it’s basically a personal challenge. My brain is like, “oh, we’re doing this.” but at the same time i dobit without even thinking about doing it.... I know that is a contradiction 🤔 I’ve been like this for as long as I can remember, so I finally looked it up and apparently it’s actually a thing called Dermatillomania (aka Excoriation Disorder). It falls under body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), kind of in the OCD family. Just curious if I’m alone in this or if this is one of those “why are we like this” club situations 🤔 🤣🥰

Just got my ADHD Snapshot and one line stopped me cold: I've spent my whole life using work to drown out a mind that has always been running efficiency audits on itself. The illness didn't break me - it just removed the armour. Turns out what I called "overthinking" has a name, a pattern, and isn't a character flaw. Reading my own words handed back to me with meaning attached was something else. Day 1, here I come 🎉

I have never been diagnosed but recently I have been doing courses and masterclasses and discovered a connection to me and my thoughts/behaviour. Any help that will see me through to the other side is welcome with open arms. Procrastination is my middle name! Thank you for the opportunity 🫶
