🔥 Monday Inspiration + Updates 🔥
Super excited about this week’s message, it really made me pause and reflect, and I hope it does the same for you. Quick updates first: • Big welcome to some of our newest members: @James Rhodes, @Kerry Souter, @Lidia Axe, @Leo Baldwin, @Cecilia Payne, @Graham Whiddett & @Jack Shiller (some of you have been active already, but making it official 😄) • I’m working on having a guest speaker for our Wednesday 7 pm call, focused on Freedom in life. I’ll confirm by tomorrow. • Leadership Launchpad Week 5 is live. If you want access, DM me or check it here. This week’s message comes down to playing the long game. Most people look for shortcuts or a big breakthrough moment, but real progress comes from quiet, repeated decisions over time. And playing the long game starts by asking yourself a few uncomfortable but powerful questions: Who am I, beyond titles and roles? Who am I becoming based on my habits and daily choices? Who will I be in the future? Winning the long game isn’t about perfection. It’s about intentional alignment, small disciplines, clear direction, and consistent action over time. Kudos to @Chris Wendt for a powerful post in @Georgiana D's community about personal growth, and that's exactly what it means to "become" a better version of yourself. So here’s the reflection I’ll leave you with this week: If your current habits stayed exactly the same, would you be proud of the person you’re becoming? PS: Sorry for the long video, that was done in one take 😅

@Bruno Militz my email hack: Ctrl + A -> select „mark as read“ 😂 Did it again at work, but as my inbox is already clean, I used it in the trash…
I tracked every minute of my time in January, here’s what I learned
After going through Bruno’s Time Mastery course, I realized that I didn’t know my 4 quadrants as well as I thought. (check it out here if you haven’t gone through it yet. It’s worth it!) So in January I decided to take it a little more seriously. I used google calendar to track every single thing I did. Color coding each of the 5 categories made it super helpful to visualize. They were: - Health (exercise/sleeping) - Relationships (family/friends) - Growth/Business time - Chores - 9-5 Before I reveal the % breakout for each, the reason why I wanted to do this was because I had AN IDEA of the time I was spending in all the areas, but I wanted to ACTUALLY know. Knowledge is power It also helped me stay accountable by blocking ‘growth work’ and family time in advance so I could plan around those and stick to a schedule the best I could. I try to keep my days as similar as possible with the only changes coming on the weekends when my family time replaces the 9-5 time. Same wake up every day, same bedtime everyday (unless I get sleepy lol). Since I’m a numbers nerd, here is the breakdown of each of the categories by percentage for January: - Health 36% - Relationships 25% - Growth/Business 14% - Chores 5% - 9-5 20% How do you think yours would shake out? It makes sense to me that Health and Relationships is over half, I feel like I’m good there. The Growth/Business is frustrating looking at it from this perspective, but it still comes out to about 25 hours/week. I don’t think I can physically do more right now without disrupting the Health or Relationships. I don’t want to say the growth/business is the most important, but that’s the push I’ve been making recently. So I’m in a stage of finding better uses for this time, rather than more of it I’d love to ‘offload’ the chores and 9-5 lol. The chores would probably free up more family time and the 9-5 would definitely free up more Growth/Business time.

@Chris Wendt Thanks Chris 😊. It's so lovely here and with all of you. It's amazing. In the morning my focus is on starting calm & quietly in the day, thoughtful with purpose. So I'm all about removing activities, because it would be so easy to work on all the things coming to mind... How this usually looked: I was on the couch and used the thoughts coming up to sort through the different topics they are related to. Uncertainty, questions, confusion, all the stuff that has to be sorted inwardly and so I just prayed about these things to solve them. Sometimes I'd listen to some music (the songs I created) or reading/writing something in the bible. How I'd like to have it. I do set apart this time with lots of purpose - as Tyler said in his other post, having a zero attitude towards what distracts. So, I wish to have a high intensity during this time, which would help me even more to don't start other activities, that could be helpful, but aren't necessarily. Probably I can compare it with something we love to do... something where we spend time and don't recognize the time flying. I wish it would be more like this, when I wake up at any time, I'm most excited when it's earlier, because I know I do have more time to use - and then I'm bothered if the time goes by being "okay" instead of "great". To explain it quickly, I don't use an alarm, I start work at 5:30/6:00, so the end is somehow fix, but not the start. Does this help & answer your questions?

@Georgiana D oh, I know that very well. Returning after vacation, I saw "99+" for days and I was grinding through the hard way. Within one week, I dropped to 95, and cleared them in 1-2 more days. Going through that much notifications, I recognized quickly when I wasn't really interested in reading, when I did. That led to unsub in some communities and getting more focus even the inbox is now (almost) empty.
🔥 Special Guest Call 02/04 at 7pm EST 🔥
Tomorrow/Today (02/04 - depends on when you see this post lol), we’re going to have the pleasure of welcoming a very special guest to our community call, Eric Martin. Eric has been my mentor for the past 8 years, has been running his own business for over 15 years, and is someone I deeply respect both professionally and personally. He has built his success the long way, through relationships, consistency, patience, and choosing growth over comfort, and that’s exactly why this call is going to be powerful. He's not only an incredible leader and mentor, but also a father of a daughter and a recent newborn son, and he truly understands how to manage life, business, and responsibilities at the same time. On the call, Eric will be touching on • Playing the long game in business and life • How relationships compound over time • Staying consistent when results are not immediate • Why freedom is built slowly, not suddenly • Keeping an open mind and remaining a great student as you grow Because this conversation will be so valuable, I’ll also invite other communities to join us. This is one of those calls you don’t want to miss. 🕖 02/04 (Wednesday) at 7 pm EST. 🔗 https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5614515373?omn=85017240292 I’ll add most of you to the calendar invite as an extra reminder, and I've also attached Eric’s background PDF to the chat so you can get to know him better ahead of time. 😎 Super excited for this one. Come open-minded and ready to think long-term.

For me it might be sleeping time, except I wake up super early (1am). Nevertheless, I wish you all a great time at the call! 🎉💯

@Bruno Militz totally fine ☺️. I know you‘ll have a great time and I‘m looking forward to see it later
Thoughtful Tuesday: Discipline Equals Freedom
I’ve listened to Jocko Willink on YouTube sporadically over the years (info about him here: Jocko Willink - Wikipedia) and I’ve always liked the following quote from him: “Discipline equals Freedom.” He even wrote a book with that title (which I have yet to read, along with so many other great books). To onlookers, discipline might appear like suffering / an overly-restrictive way of living. However, applying strict protocols to oneself, as Jocko argues, is actually liberating. Here are some examples: If I am disciplined about my diet and exercise, I will achieve freedom from chronic diseases, medication, being a complete wreck by the time I am in my 70s, etc. If I am disciplined about saving money, building my own business and investing, I will eventually achieve freedom from financial burden and reliance on employers to survive. If I am disciplined regarding my education, I will be free from having to work menial, entry-level jobs forever. Etc.… Of course, there are no guarantees in life, but you get the point. Putting in the work now creates freedom in the future. Inputs equal outputs, as I’ve read both in this Skool and elsewhere. What’s your opinion? Do you agree with Jocko regarding his claim that ‘discipline equals freedom’? How has discipline made you free? How do you see it freeing you in the future? How strict should one be, in your opinion? When should we break the rules and promises we set for ourselves and just ‘live a little’ (many people have told me to do that over the years, haha🤣)? On a related note, I often like to apply what I call the ‘zero policy,’ for lack of a better term. This reduces ambiguity regarding things, such as eating sugar or drinking alcohol. If I simply follow a ‘zero sugar lifestyle’, there is no ambiguity regarding how much I should eat, should the opportunity arise. ‘Moderation’ is ambiguous, and doesn’t work. For some people, it could be one sweet per week. For others, it could be two per day. Zero is zero – simple, clear and liberating.

Alright, now let's take on the questions. I don't agree with Jocko that ‘discipline equals freedom’. Might be my love for words, definition and probably my profession. My theory on the words aspect: Two words can't be equal, otherwise we would only need one word. If I use an equal sign at work it's either a comparison (==) or an assignment (=). In math it means it's the same. None of that applies for me to the statement. For me, discipline is something I decide to do. When I start a new habit, I have to be disciplined in doing something over and over again. Once my inner life adapted, I'll get the results. This could be freedom, but not necessarily. Could be bondage too, if I chose a habit with "side effects". Then I might be free from something, but just ran into the other door. Is this freedom? Not in my opinion. On to the next one: How has discipline made you free? How do you see it freeing you in the future? Partially dipped into this one already. Only thought to add, is how to find the right new habits that leads me to freedom? As I chose to trust Jesus' guidance, this is how I go step by step. Last one - an easy take I'd say: How strict should one be, in your opinion? When should we break the rules and promises we set for ourselves and just ‘live a little’? For me there is nothing like being "not strict". I think we're always 100% strict and live according to our convictions. Sometimes we say things differently, that's usually referred to as hypocrisy (words and actions don't align). I do believe strongly, that we should live not just a little, but to the fullest and overflowing. ...feels like "skipping a Monday". No, seriously, prostitution isn't a good thing, nor is human trafficking. In both cases people are forced to do something, they don't like to do. That's never good, but all present. I saw it in the church, at work, in Germany. Often we and others feel, something is not right, but we have to change it properly. I make an example from my own life experience: Sometimes I read these posts from people being younger than me, millionaires, invested early in xyz. Could I have done the same? Sure, of course. Instead of investing 2011 in some things my dad recommended me, I could have bought Bitcoin and the result would be different. Now, I'm not looking for excuses or try to change the past, I simply say, I wasn't aware of it back then and that's okay. If I wanna invest now, I do research and find something I consider the best option today.

@Tyler Scott true, we shouldn't be left behind in our own life and just continue with every new day.
First 2026 wins 🥇
Wonderful greetings from Switzerland! 😊 I wanna thank you all for making this community a success!! 🎉 I'm back on Skool for a week now, read a ton of posts & comments, and it feels like so much happened within this one month while I was on vacation. It feels like the community matured, different people engaging, it's by far not a "Bruno-one-man-show". I really liked that. Thanks to everyone for sharing, caring, being open 🥰. I wanna share as well two wins from my side - and please join. What's a win you achieved this last month or the last week? Let's take this as a preparation for the goals, raising awareness on our decisions and a first progress - or getting unstuck. #1 Personally, I see this last month as a personal transition from 2025 to 2026. We've been on an extended vacation, visiting our next destination, got clarity - just as planned. ✅ #2 One week back, I was able to catch up at Skool, going through hundreds of notifications, back on track to get my flame back. We cleaned up our house, rearranging some things to prep for the next baby and as our nanny left, we've adapted to that change too. Having this "extra" month of preparation reminded me of a quote from Martin Luther. He said, he spends every day 2h in prayer & prep for the day. When it's a busy day and he has really a lot to do, he spends for sure 4h in prayer & prep. For me it feels like this heading "now" into 2026, as this year: - I'll leave my job - We'll move 8000km to BC - 4th child - Just sorted my thoughts and counting 4 new projects/businesses I'd like to kick off - Continue with Skool & Sports - Homeschooling - ...and a few more aspects from the other key areas It still seems to be a lot, but everyday a bit more manageable. I'll count that as a win too 🎉 --- But now, I'm really eager to read some of your reflections on the past month. What are you wins? Where do you feel/see growth between Dec 31 and Jan 31?
First 2026 wins 🥇

@Josie Ngoumou „January was not bad for me“ 😅 In the region where I grew up, people saying this is already enough of a compliment, but I wasn’t aware this is already internationally applied 😂😂

@Harley Cran, thank you, Harley! Fourth one is due in April. I‘m excited to read you went to part-time. Great step! I wish you lots of success with getting money in from other places and ramping up your community! Sounds amazing! I‘d love to participate, unfortunately not yet. Just told the two older ones this morning how to set goals as they came up with a success story themselves. I‘d love to reduce work further and get the other stuff going. Let’s hit that road together! 🚀
