Pre/post workout
Hi all, im looking for advice on pre/post workout/RT options to maximise muscle gains. Im a seasoned gym goer, i train fasted in the mornings 4 times pweek, and i follow a very low carb lifestyle. Just wondering if adding in a small amount of carbs around training would help. I dont have low energy or focus etc, just want to make the most of each session. TIA

Welcome — start here 👋
Welcome in. whwido /we-do/ is a science & experience-based strength method with one rule: You feel the muscle you're training — joints aligned, perfect form. The name means Why, How, What, I Do — and the whole aim is to make it what you do: running your own training for life, without needing me. Free: you can look around, meet the members, read The Method in the Classroom, and ask me anything in Ask Shaun. I answer every question there, the same day or within one day where possible. Paid members get the how: The full multi-phase programme, from your first session to training on your own. The app, which sets your load from what you actually did, session by session, so you stop stalling. The demonstrations, lift by lift — going up now, the first ones later this month. Building a Library of Giants — adding real sources, credited to the people who did the work, not me pretending to know everything. Paid places will be capped at 150 or even less, so I can keep that promise. This is not a money-making venture for me. So the price rises as they fill, and whatever you join at, you keep for life: Paid places 1 to 30 — $40 a year Paid places 31 to 50 — $60 a year Paid places 51 to 80 — $80 a year Paid places 81 plus — $99 a year Already paying? Thank you. Your current rate is locked, and nothing here changes it. So I can actually help you, please answer these three below: 1. Your situation and goal — beginner, plateaued, or training around a condition? 2. What's stopped you from getting stronger before? 3. The one thing you're most unsure will work for you? 4. Drop them in a comment and say hello — tell us who you are and what you're training for.

HGH and additional 'supplements' ;)
Hi all, im new to the group, but so far loving all the information! Not sure if its allowed or not, but whats people's thoughts regarding use (not abuse!) of steroids/hgh? Also im very interested in people's experience of various peptides, as the space seems to be exploding at the moment

I think the peptide space is so very interesting. Obvs gotta be vigilant of the contact/supplier (although we all know generic peptides are from Chinese pharmacies 🤞) but ive experimented with a few over the years and had varying results

A few years ago i used sermorelin and slept like a baby, that was my first foray into peptides. Ive had brilliant results with motsc in terms of fat loss this year, and I'll run it again after xmas, along side ss31, when i start dieting (and maybe NAD+) Although the first 2 cycles i ran 2mg daily. The next time i will do 3mg on training days and see how i go. DSIP defo helps with my sleep currently (10 days on 2 weeks off) . Selank and Semax have helped with focus, and being as i train first thing AM i kind of use them as a pre-workout. Ive used Reta but with mixed results, but i now suspect i know why (no carbs) Ive used GHCKU recently but not noticed anything tbh. The same with BPC 157 and TB500.....no discernible effects. But that was a long time ago.
Reta Update week2
So taking last week as my starting week (Monday) i started off at a small dose of 0.6mg - this week i went up to 1mg and this is where ill be staying for a few weeks - day one - my head knew i had to eat, but i didnt feel like anything so its kinda taking that enjoyment out of it - im normally focused on whats for tea or whats for dinner and looking forward to a big feed at some point in the day - instead i had 3 basic meals to see if i could handle not eating anymore after - 250g of lean mince and 3 boiled eggs for the first meal, once this was eaten i had no interest in eating anymore food and was satisfied that the food i had was good enough - Next meal was the same, the 3rd meal i needed to add some fat as on chekcing my total energy pills for the day was well below what i should be eating - so to bump up my energy pills i added tallow and some cheese - to my last meal, this would also help fuel my next days running, woke up this morning and felt spot on - so went on a good trail run just under 10 miles up and down hills and stuff - was a bit brutal on the hills but thats to be expected, who likes hills ? anyway i had loads in the tank to give it a little push on the last few K - recovery from this - i got to the car and had a bottle of water with electrolytes, felt spot on - i felt empty but not hungry - i then had to go get some bloods done for my cholesterol - done these came back but i wasnt overly hungry, but it was already prepped - i decided to have it and scoffed it with salt and water as well - next meal will be the same mince and eggs - and important is my last meal - again added extra fat to it again to feul tomorrow morning activitys in the gym - so yesterday and today have been pretty good and ive felt different - i also seem to be getting more REM and more deep sleep - time will tell on that thou - so overall the 2nd week so far is sound - finally something that helps me with food noise - its not nice having to deal with food issues as i just want to be kinda normal - so for me its helping - but its still early days - i will continue to update you all and bore the life out of you

Ive tried reta from a few different suppliers and maxed out at 2.5mg weekly. I had some appetite suppression but mainly chronic heartburn. I may try again come spring, but just not sure its for me

@Shaun Womersley i started at 0.5mg and progressed upto 2/2.5mg over a 3mth period, and no, i use very little carbs (which is in part what prompted my original question) i suspect given the way the glucagon receptor works this could have been the issue. Any advice would be appreciated :)
Dr Abs and Richard Smith master class
Anyone got an extra spare £2500-£3000 for a master class? I think Reta is a bit cheaper at this point.

Im still a member there (only because i fogot to cancel subs before holiday) but i barely go in there. Not a fan of Dr Abs, something seems off about him. I was also there for the electrolyte discount lol, and dont start me on the extortionate price for the nutrition course! Blimey! Reading all the info here this evening makes me glad @Shaun Womersley invited me
