App question
The 'actual weight used', bit on the app is set at the correct warm up weight. If I go to adjust it with the up/down arrow things, it starts at .25kg instead of the original warm up weight and I have to go all the way up to get to the correct weight. Is that everyones experience who has used it. I know you've used it @Daniel Parker. If not, is that something that's easily fixable @Shaun Womersley

@Richard Clark nah, when I first used it my phone wouldn't work unless I clicked twice which took me ages. Then I used it with wet fingers and learnt I have to dry them first to work. Always learning.😁
Biceps exercise help
As I have mentioned numerous times, my shoulder pain is a constant companion, and I do mean constant. It sits somewhere around the groove where the anterior head meets the lateral head. It never lessens, and never leaves. Shoulder mobility exercises have yet to garner a result, Tom Morrison has plenty to choose from. Anyway, to the point of my question. Dumbbell curls are jaw droppingly painful. I've tried external rotation of the hands, straight on, alternate sides; If you can dream it, I've tried it (that doesn't include Shaun of course;-) Don't get me wrong, I'm old school and give it all I've got, despite the pain, and my biceps ache like hell for days afterwards, but my progress is definitely being hindered. What other exercises could I try the may reduce the effect of the shoulder pain on going to failure? Remember, I'm not one of you yuppies with a membership to a fancy gym.

Love the yuppy...none of us are young though and probably not upwardly mobile either. 😁
Journey 2 of 3 · What coming off TRT felt like
In Post 1, I gained 24 lb (10.9 kg) on purpose, on the same food, by reducing my energy output. One other thing for transparency. Four weeks before the operation, I stopped TRT, testosterone replacement therapy. I had been on it for many years, 125 mg a week of testosterone enanthate, split into two doses. My decision, not a medical one. It was the right time to stop, because a result from a man who is not on TRT means more to most of you than a result from a man who is. I am still off it. This post is what that felt like, so you can weigh its share of the gain. Coming off testosterone pushes body composition towards fat on its own, with no change in food or training. I cannot separate its share of the 24 lb from the training's share. I am telling you so you can weigh it. What coming off it felt like for me. The strength drop at the start and the emotional side were both noticeable. Strength was down for 9 to 10 weeks, then climbed, and it is close to where it was before I stopped, which has surprised me. Some of that is the extra bodyweight, not just my own hormones coming back. Sleep was worse at first and got better from 6 to 8 weeks on. The one thing that has not come back is recovery between sessions. I hit each muscle every 6 days. I used to feel fine after 2 or 3. That is now 4 or 5, especially for legs: a dull ache of knowing I have trained, not the two-days-after kind. The full blood panel comes at the end of this month, and that is the number I want most. What comes next. Post 3: the DEXA and the full blood panel, both this month, and then the next phase: the drop back to 250 and beyond. Ask. If you are on TRT, or have come off it, reply with the one thing that changed that you did not expect.

@Richard Clark yes but the shit unnatural HRT, not the good stuff. You have to fight for that and it is a postcode lottery.

@Richard Clark similar to mine, although she did have access to the good stuff luckily but did nothing.
Muscle soreness and growth
Does muscle soreness =growth? I tried training my calves twice in one workout. Once at the beginning and once at the end of the workout. Both lots to volitional failure. I have, as usual, zero soreness in my calves. When I train any other muscle, I am sore as hell .

TRT
Hey Gym goers. As I’m thinking about TRT at the moment. I’ll be going deeper into research mode today. What sort of levels determined those who are on TRT to start off. Did you just add it in for the benefits. Do you self administer it or do you get it prescribed. What sort of tips and tricks can be offered for one thinking about improving there levels. I’d like mine the same as I had in my 20s 🤣.
