Weapons
A lone figure in all black with a hood approaches you in a dark alley. He stops 5 feet in front of you. You are unarmed and cornered. Which of these weapons feels the least dangerous to you? Against which weapons would you rather defend yourself.

Out of all these I would probably go with the bat. If I couldn’t rely on my Dog Whisperer skills. It would be the easiest to time.
Focus for the week (exhale)
This week in your daily life, exhale fully. Many of us don’t ever fully exhale and we only breathe with the top of our lungs. Not just in training but in everyday life too. Most of us cannot maintain presence enough to remain aware of the breath at all times and that is fine. As much as you can remember to, empty your lungs completely. Don’t worry about taking a deep breath in. Maybe you only think about this once a day. But if you put your intention on this it will become more and more natural and you will remember more often until it just feels normal. I’d love to see you guys interact with @Andy DeJesus post about accountability. Let’s push each other to get better. Do you think about your breath throughout the day already?

I started learning about breathe work while I was in treatment for alcoholism. (Just to share a bit.) that’s where I first got introduced to the diaphragmatic breathing. We practiced very basic breathing exercises. That’s where I learned that breathing from the chest brings anxiety. So when I first heard Master Rickson talk about this I was like WOW. I definitely need to get better at it. That’s my focus this week. 🙏🏽
Live class time
We don’t have to stick with sat classes. If you are in premium or are planning to join soon, let me know if you’d prefer a different live class time or day. I cannot do afternoons because I reserve those for Rickson. But we could do one weekend day and one weekday or 2 weekdays for example. Let me know in the comments exactly what works for you. All based on eastern time (NYC) time zone.

Wednesday would be cool as of now for me. I’ve been hit or miss on the Sat evenings, but have tried to rearrange my schedule to make it. Especially now that I’m not performing at Six Flags anymore. So I guess whatever works. (Except Mondays)
What would you do?
You are out with your family and a drunk guy starts acting aggressive and yelling profanity at you. You keep a safe distance with your hands in good position trying to defuse and suddenly your wife steps in between you and the aggressor to try to defuse the situation.

Happy New Year 🎆
Hey everyone, Thank you so much for being a part of this community. I am honored by your engagement and support. I started this group so that I could share what I’ve learned with people who don't have the proximity to the source that I’ve been so fortunate to have. I am truly blessed to be guided by Master Rickson on a daily basis. I trust that you have gotten something out of this trial period. I want everyone to have a place where they can feel supported by their peers and find the guidance they’re looking for. Many of you have asked for clear training paths, structure, and access to me so I am building it. More details to come.
