What are the 7 Top Secrets To Building an Engaged Community?
The Goosify team is currently on a plane heading back to the US. We spent the week together in Munich, visiting the Oktoberfest and even travelled together to Vienna. Shoutout to these amazing people for creating an unforgettable experience: @Ravi Gregory Etherton @Jonas Marcel @Felix Weinzinger @Markus Petratschek @Diana Frank @Julia Schürer @Gunta Skrastiņa @Suza Roswandowicz @Giò Schoenmaker @Patricio Borras @Laura Buhl Terribly sorry for missing anyone. Writing this post on the train with 2 hours of sleep. Comment and I'll add you to the list 😉 During the mastermind with Evelyn Weiss, we discussed the elements that make up an engaged community. Of course, I transcribed the whole thing and synthesized the most important nuggets into the top 7 secrets to building engaged communities. I actually got the star 1 day later by applying everything and taking action. 🤯 I bet you all know the first 3, but I am curious if you can guess the other 4. Drop your guesses below before starting the video. Or just start the video, I am not your dad, so do what you want. 🖕

I made an attempt to recreate @Goose Dunlavey 's cover image from the template in lesson 4 and I thought I would share it.. Mainly because I am feeling nervous about showing up with it. Here's what this is bringing up for me: It feels fun and exciting and also it is causing all the questions... 'Is it too bright?, Is it too colorful and glittery? and well, is it too much?'... I am always amazed at that odd thing that rears it's head when we (I) attempt to express all of who we are and what we love (I am/love) can be met with these roadblocks. But, what I DO know is that since I joined Skool a little over a month ago and this community a week ago, I am feeling more and more myself, participating, and having fun - and that is a wonderful feeling!! Happy to hear thoughts, cheers, encouragement, feedback.. conversation. :)

Make Life Fun Again! 🥰
If Goose is Hosting a Skool IRL Event Near You, YOU NEED TO GO!
Take this as a true testimonial from someone who quit their 9-5 corporate job to pursue a very new thing, had no business background whatsoever, an undergrad in Health Sciences, & no "natural entrepreneurial instinct." What I took away from this weekend was more than I can even put into words. I feel so confident in not only our business model/offer, but also in myself as a true entrepreneur/business owner. That kind of feeling, value, & impact far exceeds the investment 🤍 Thank you for everything @Goose Dunlavey, @Jason Hamilton, @Charles Tichenor, @Jay Larosa, @Ethan Simons, @Tony Loew, @Yahya Kazi, & the rest of the Skool IRL team! P.S. - Yes, my fiancé & business partner is THE Goose tickler tax guy 😉🪿🗽💸

What's up with your Inner Bodyguard?
I've been doing a lot of work lately on understanding this fascinating aspect of ourselves, which I like to call our "inner bodyguard" - and I'm absolutely fascinated by how differently it manifests in different people. You know that voice that pops up right when you're about to do something awesome? The one that's like: "WHOA THERE, TIGER. What if people think you're weird? What if you fail? What if you succeed and then everyone expects you to be successful ALL THE TIME? Better just... not." I've learned that this little bodyguard genuinely believes it's helping - it's still trying to protect us from the mean kids on the playground, except now the "playground" is... well, life! 🙃 Through my own journey of understanding this part of myself also my clients, I've noticed some common patterns: - Making us second-guess compliments ("They're just being nice") - Convincing us our ideas aren't ready yet (spoiler: they're never "ready") - Turning exciting opportunities into anxiety festivals But here's what I find so interesting - everyone's inner bodyguard has its own unique style and strategies! Some people get the perfectionist version, others get the people-pleaser, and some get the "play it safe at all costs" model. I love learning from people about their experiences with this. What does YOUR inner bodyguard specialise in? Does it have any particularly creative strategies for keeping you "safe"? I'm always curious to hear how this shows up differently for different people - it helps me understand the whole concept even better and improve the work I'm doing in my community. 💜 Tell me more! 😂

Some of us still need to discover our inner voice/bodyguard, many go through their whole life without realizing how it affects them.
