New host here - let's do a quick roll call
👋 Hey everyone, Nicky here. I’m delighted to step in as your new host for this community! I’ve already been in touch with some peeps via DM, and in the background I’m sending an email out to all our fab members so nobody misses the update. My aim is simple: continue the amazing work that @Luke Gilbert started, keep this community buzzing with good conversations, practical brewing tips, and a place to share what we all love - coffee. ☕ To kick things off, I’d love to hear from you: where are you sipping from today + what’s in your cup? Drop a quick comment (pic welcome!) so we can get a roll call going. Looking forward to getting to know you all. 🙌 Nicky ps: I'm in Ireland. My first of the day WAS a Rebel House Espresso from javathehutt.ie roastery. It's a fab bean from Brazil. We also serve it in our converted horse box coffee trailer which is parked up at our local football club full time. I'm fully caffeinated and ready for the day!

@Vernon Omeri Thank you. Yes, it is really a great Ethiopian. Seam Coffee has some great releases - love the packaging and descriptors as you say.
Aeropress Recipes
For those who travel regularly (or home brewers) and carry an Aeropress, and get bored of using the same exact recipe everytime, I created this "Bible" of 15 award winning recipes from around the world, including some Ice Coffee Recipes, along with a grind size guide at the back for Timemore and Commandante hand grinders. Feel free to download and save on your phone, they were designed to be viewed easily on a smartphone so you can make a cup in the morning easily.

Thank you for sharing. Love the look and layout.
Handgrinders
For those who use them, whether at home or on the road, what is your favourite ? I used to have a Timemore C3 ESP PRO but it was quite exhausting to grind. I'll be testing the Kingrinder K6 next week which is exciting as many people say the clarity is amazing on filter coffee. I'm also testing a new FLAT BURR handgrinder by Normcore, which sounds wild.. What are you rocking?

I recently took the plunge and ordered a 1Zpresso ZP6 straight from 1Zpresso in Taiwan. I do slow-pour mostly nowadays. The service from them was beyond great. Absolutely 5-star from beginning to end. DHL International shipping is included in their pricing, which is outstanding. Compared to my Comandante C-40, the clarity due to lesser fines is very noticeable. Very happy with this awesome grinder. Oh yes, and quite a bit faster than the C-40.
Filter clogging: Natural vs Washed
How do you adjust your standard brew between Natural and Washed beans? I typically brew lighter roasted specialty beans. Washed coffees give me anything from 2min 50 to 3min 05, but change to an African Natural and the same grind will give you a stall where you end with a 4min brew. 1Zpresso ZP6 (40 clicks) 92°C V60 Ceramic Cafec T90 Light Roast filters

NERDY HELP
Over the past year I have been slowly, painstakingly compiling a WORLD COFFEE MAP for specialty/third wave coffee shops in any city I do research on, watch a video from, or read an article from someone I trust. I add them so that if I'm ever in the area I can check them out, and also send a link to friends when they are travelling so they can find good coffee. I've been to many of them myself, but obviously not all. 500+ on there currently. What I'd love is if any of you have places to add, since we're from all over the world. This is NOT about cafes, this is about specialty coffee. Sure if its a cafe that has food but also very good coffee it's fine, but not just a cafe with regular coffee on sale. Drop a few spots from your hometown or any places you hit on trips that were great and I will add them to the map too so it keeps growing and includes more and more countries! Thanks in advance for anyone who can be bothered to reply! haha https://maps.app.goo.gl/uievCFiVCWerecZw6
