@Ara Diaz Pay attention to the keywords Extracted = Yanking the Gila monster’s drool straight from its fangs and shooting it into your thigh like a desert vampire juice box. 🦎💉🤢 Derived = Scientists watched the lizard slurp a cactus smoothie, went “Ooh, that’s a vibe,” then 3D-printed a turbo-charged, glow-in-the-dark version in a lab while blasting EDM. 🧪✨🎧 Ozempic = The glow-stick remix, zero lizard spit required. So there is some cool stuff about it though if you really want to know. https://medicine.uq.edu.au/article/2024/04/rise-ozempic-how-surprise-discoveries-and-lizard-venom-led-new-class-weight-loss-drugs Old post Yes, Ozempic (semaglutide) is derived from a compound originally discovered in Gila monster venom, though the drug itself is not literally made from the venom. Key Facts: - Source: In the 1990s, researchers identified a hormone-like peptide called exendin-4 in the saliva (often referred to as venom) of the Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum), a lizard native to the southwestern U.S. and Mexico. - How it works: Exendin-4 mimics the human hormone GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1), which regulates blood sugar, insulin release, and appetite. The Gila monster uses it to manage glucose after infrequent meals. - Drug development: The first drug based on this was exenatide (Byetta, 2005), a synthetic version of exendin-4. Semaglutide (Ozempic, Rybelsus, Wegovy) is a modified synthetic analog of human GLP-1, engineered to be longer-acting and more stable. It shares ~53% structural similarity with exendin-4 but is not directly extracted from lizards. - Production: Ozempic is fully synthetic, manufactured in labs using recombinant DNA technology (like insulin). No actual Gila monster venom is used in the final product. Summary: The discovery of Ozempic's mechanism traces back to Gila monster saliva, but the drug is a lab-made molecule inspired by—NOT ExTRACTED from—it.
BIOGLUTIDE: IF YOU ARE WAITING DON'T 😞
My hopes weren't high for bioglutide to begin with but, there are some concerning updates I've been getting. If you don't know bioglutide was supposed to be a four receptor agonist GLP, GIP, GLUCAGON, and IGF-1. The thought lose weight while maintaining muscle/ or possibility gaining it? Well it looks like this peptide appears to be a scam, it was spoused to come in oral capsules however, the company that is "producing it" has no CAS Number. What that means no one can test purity or know what the raw ingredients are to produce it. The crazier part is all the "studies" are redacted and it looks like they just pulled data from the other GLPs such as Tirzepatide. The more people ask questions the more concerns pop up so, we'll see. An oral peptide concerned me anyways in terms of effectiveness but, it's not looking good overall. So, if you have been waiting or excited sorry to break the news 🙃

Why You Might Gain Weight (or Stall) When Starting Tesamorelin 🤔
Let's answer this question because it comes up on the daily. Just started tesamorelin and the scale went UP? Or maybe it's not budging at all? Don't panic - this is actually pretty common and here's why: What's Happening Behind The Scenes Tesamorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) that triggers your body to produce more natural GH. When you first start, several things happen simultaneously: 1. Water Retention & Glycogen Storage - Increased GH levels boost glycogen storage in muscles - Each gram of glycogen holds 3-4 grams of water - This can add 2-5 lbs on the scale in the first few weeks - This is GOOD weight - it's stored energy, not fat 2. Muscle Protein Synthesis Kicks In - GH stimulates muscle tissue development - Muscle is denser than fat (weighs more per volume) - You might be losing fat while gaining muscle simultaneously - The scale doesn't show the composition change 3. Increased Appetite Initially - Some people experience hunger changes early on - Your metabolism is ramping up and needs fuel - This usually stabilizes after 2-4 weeks The Real Timeline Weeks 1-3: Scale might go up or stall (water/glycogen/muscle) Weeks 4-8: This is when fat loss typically becomes visible Weeks 8-12: Most people see significant body composition changes What To Track Instead ✅ Progress photos (front, side, back) ✅ Body measurements (waist, hips, arms) ✅ How your clothes fit ✅ Energy levels and recovery ✅ Skin quality improvements ❌ Don't obsess over daily scale weight Pro Tips - Take measurements BEFORE you start - Give it at least 8-12 weeks before judging results - Stay consistent with dosing - Keep protein intake high (supports muscle growth) - Stay hydrated (helps with the water retention phase) Bottom line: That initial weight gain or plateau is usually your body RESPONDING to the peptide, not failing. Trust the process and look at the bigger picture! 💪 Has anyone else experienced this? Drop your timeline below! 👇

@Rich Tickle wonderful question!
🎯 The Full Story Behind Peptide Price- How & Why I Built It
Ben and I had a real conversation about the problem that led me to build this tool in the first place. The reality? I was a researcher just like you - probably just like everyone reading this right now. And I had browser tabs stretched across the top of my screen, spreadsheets everywhere, trying to figure out who had the best price for this, who had the best price for that. This full podcast is dropping tomorrow! It was exhausting. 🛠️ What PeptidePrice.store Actually Is In the podcast, I break down how PeptidePrice.store is way more than just a price comparison tool (even though that's how it started). 📊 It All Started With Price Look, at its core, yes - it's a price comparison website. You can see all the vendors side-by-side and instantly know who has the best price on any peptide. That alone saves hours of research time. ⭐ But Then It Evolved Into Something Bigger Ben pointed this out perfectly in our conversation - it's not just about who's cheapest anymore. As I built this and learned more about the space, I realized that the US research market isn't just hunting for the lowest price. It's about getting a good product with a good customer experience, where you don't have to worry about all the stuff in between. So the platform evolved to include: 🏆 Customer Service Rankings - Who actually responds when you need help? Who ghosts you? Ben even mentioned they were up there on the rankings for a while (and they still are! 😉) 💎 Best Value Analysis - Because let's be real, the cheapest option isn't always the best answer. Sometimes paying $5 more means you get actual support, faster shipping, and products that arrive intact. ⭐ Reviews Section - Think Trustpilot or Google Reviews, but specifically for peptide vendors. You can read what other researchers are saying about their actual experiences. 🧪 Quality & Testing Info - As I learned more about COA testing, endotoxin testing, and what actually matters for product quality, I realized this needed to be front and center.
