Focus on Momentum!
Hi Team, Based on our discussion last week, nothing powers this group more than momentum! In that spirit, I wanted to make the case for all of our companies in the MVP cycle. If you recall, they have a prototype, in some cases generating revenue, and are at the very challenging stage of meeting Product/Market Fit. I propose we pull together and help push them all up! Right now we have three: - Jeffrey Rosales: Moneda - Paola Castro: TodosX - Catherine Rells: Elari Water Let's pull together and brainstorm how we can help push them across the finish line and create some momentum for their journey as we experience what it takes to really LAUNCH! One of the first requests for Jeffrey is if we could all comment and give suggestions for finalizing his brand, Moneda. We love the name, but want feedback on color, font and any other suggestions. Picture it on posters, on tshirts, hats, car graphics... does this look and feel fit what he's trying to do? Be honest, be brutal, but always be constructive! Gracias!

Love the name, love the chosen font. A few ideas: A good logo will typically consist of a logotype, a logomark (icon), and a combination of both used together in both a horizonal and vertical version. You currently have a logotype (type that serves the purpose of being a logo), but you don't have an integrated icon that works with the type that can have its own life. Not absolutely necessary for a modern logo but an icon can be a friendly part of your brand that says more without using words. Think of the Nike swosh, the word Nike is the logotype, and the swoosh is the logomark. Just an idea because there's a lot of great logos that don't use an icon. When there is no icon, there's more attention to the quality of your type. For example, the kearning (spacing) between letters could be improved. The "e" and "d" are almost touching but it doesn't look very intentional because nothing else is almost touching. Last, having a 1-color logo is a smart idea because it will work in all instances, but you may want to also have a 2-color version for variety.

Pitch Latino Photos & Video
Hey Team, I got the photos and one promo video! The trouble is they are high res and I can't post here. I have them all on a shared drive, what would be the easiest and best way to distribute? David

If you upload them to a Latino Startup youtube channel we can all share and grow the channel visibility.
This is the VISION
For too long, my focus was only on the numbers—on bringing 100,000 more Latino and Latina founders into the startup economy. But this video is different. It’s about you. About what I want to bring to every founder who dares to step into this journey: the tools, the clarity, and the confidence to succeed—not just for yourself, but for thousands more who will follow. Together, we can change our collective reality. I’ll never forget when Teresa told me how powerful it felt to call herself CEO. That moment reminded me: this is bigger than building businesses. It’s about evolving ourselves—becoming the leaders, innovators, and changemakers our communities need. To everyone who has joined me in this mission—thank you. This is just the beginning.

Building confidence in oneself is very important and I'm happy you are highlighting this. We need to take on challenges from a place of abundance rather than fear. Without confidence we have already lost the battle and we do not even know it. This place is a great place to build confidence because you have the mentors and you have a roadmap. Even more, you are accessing a network of supporters, what more can one ask for?

The Latino Startup is PITCHING at PROXIMO Avance
OMG! This morning the organizers of PROXIMO Avance, which is coming up on the 18th, invited me to come and compete on the main stage. Instead of having startups pitch to investors, their asking incubators/accelerators like The Latino Startup, to pitch to startups and investors...wow! Things are happening quickly, Im gonna be on the stage and funny enough, Im nervous and excited. Ill share more as I learn more, but I wanted to share with you all things are catching fire!
