5 of the WEIRDEST Perimenopause Symptoms… how many do you have? 👀🏆
Let’s play a quick game… give yourself 1 point for each 👇 All of these have one thing in common: estrogen fluctuations 🫠 🚪 Doorway Syndrome: Hormonal fluctuations can impair short-term memory, word recall, and the brain’s ability to quickly store and retrieve new information. 🧠 Brain Zaps: Estrogen fluctuations disrupt serotonin signaling and overall nervous system stability, leading to brief, shock-like sensory disturbances in the brain. 🥶 Cold Flashes: Estrogen fluctuations can cause sudden shifts in blood flow & heat distribution that can make you feel abruptly chilled, shaky, or goose-bumpy even without a change in the environment. 😵‍💫 Vertigo: Estrogen fluctuations affect the inner ear and vestibular system, disrupting balance signals between the ear, eyes, and brain and causing sensations of dizziness or spinning. 👀 Vision Changes: Estrogen fluctuations affect tear production, eye tissues, and visual processing in the brain, which can lead to dry eyes, blurred vision, and difficulty focusing. Score yourself below 👇 how many did you get?!

5 depending on the day. Mostly over the last 2 months but before that, maybe 2 for brief periods.
I’m Curious… Has This Happened to You?
Hi everyone! Welcome to all of our new members! I want to get a convo started 👀 What were you misdiagnosed with before realizing it was perimenopause/menopause?

I was told only by my endo what I was experiencing. Any and every other provider I saw, including15 ED trios, said ‘we don’t know what’s wrong. But it’s not acute. We see you’re suffering. But you can go home (even tho at one time I had shortness of breath)‘. They didn’t see to care and reminded me that the ED was limited despite 3 days no sleep. They didn’t want to help me at all. They left me feeling ashamed, actually.
Injectable hormones
I switched to injectable estrodiol and testosterone with oral micronized progesterone and the difference in symptom relief and how I feel in general is shocking. I was wearing multiple patches and trying so many other topicals and tablets ect and had to fight to get to this point. Ladies don’t be afraid of injections it can be a nigh and day difference 😳 two small pokes twice a week and I have my life back

I was wondering how folks feel on the injections. I’m def not afraid of them. I’ve had type 1 diabetes for 42 years. Used to shots. BUT even better- your info is truly helpful. Thank you 😊
Introduction
Hello- I’m a 52 yo from Vermont who was in TN with my soul mate living my life when I apparently experienced a sudden plummet of estrogen. I had very little warning but do know every single ‘light’ symptom leading up to it which took just over a month. Things I never expected or even knew were part of peri or meno. It sent me to the ED several times which included an over night stay but nothing was found except some common things like anemia AND electrolytes plummeting over night. I ended up having to come home to Vermont because I was convinced I was dying. My worst symptoms were adrenaline surges and staying awake for 3 days, constant fight or flight, frequenting the ED and demanding to see my specialists who were great. I saw my endo upon returning home and he told me almost immediately I was in estrogen withdrawal. So I started estrogen and am now in week 8 combined patch with one increase and started progesterone oral about a week and a half ago. Unsure if now I am getting too much estrogen but I’m tired and don’t want to keep going thru all Of these disturbing symptoms (dizziness, faintness, heavy body feeling, feelings of waning to pass out) mostly these are getting better but the brain fog and feeling strange have not completely gone away. My mom and sister breezed thru meno so I thought I’d be ok. This has been a journey that has made me frightened of everything and constant incessant health anxiety. I hope everyone here is learning and getting well again ♥️

@Aly Mangeot unwanted badly to talk to you all in a formal way but I can’t afford either now. Out of work and scared to go back because of all of this. Thankful for forums tho. I need all the support I can get ♥️
