When you say post things that are authentic, what do you mean?
I ask this question in response to reading the MOA Manifesto. In it, it states that you should post things that are authentic to you - while also showing access to scarce resources to display high status. Authentically, I don’t REALLY have access to many scarce resources at all right now. Although I love to travel and a part of me admires the high-lifestyle, my life doesn’t actually consist of luxury cars, hotels and experiences. In fact, I recently took a trip to a luxury hotel mostly just to grab a picture, which was fun, but the average onlooker might think I live a completely different life (which may be the point, but hear me out). I understand that doing so may attract a certain type of person, but if asked what my experience was like there, would it not be disappointing to know that I didn’t ACTUALLY do anything other than take a nice picture there? In reality, this just begs the question: Does this behavior make what I’m doing inauthentic or not, and why?

@Ty Buchanan This makes a lot of sense, especially that many people suffer from the impostor syndrome
Motivation
I struggle to stay motivated, I cannot get a date, I go to work, I go to the gym, I have no group of friends, I’m literally running home to take a hit of legal THC, that’s what’s waiting for me at home, I see the same pattern for the next 33 years and I don’t know what I can do about it and no making more money so I can spend it on Webcams and Escorts because I can’t get a woman isn’t enough. The motivation I had 4 years ago has gone

@Charles Armstrong Motivation is a myth. Why, because we are waiting to be motivated to do something, in life, just take action even if you don’t feel like it, even if there is pain, or whatever f***** feeling you are experiencing. Let’s keep each other accountable

Motivation is a myth, you cannot depend on it. Take action whatever it is, even if you don’t have the drive, even if sit’s hard, even if you are tired. You are ruminating and that is f***** you up. When crazy thoughts come in to your head just say/yell stop and take action
Working as a bouncer...perfect example of what's wrong...
I have mentioned a couple times in different threads that I work as a bouncer in Orange County, CA. I see the best...I see the worst. Last night, two instance stood out. 1) A guy was cold approaching several women. Not having any luck at all. Which is not unusual. The part that stood out. When one woman was leaving the bar, he yelled to get her attention. Literally ran over to her, tripping on his way. To give her his name and number that he had written on a coaster. She looked at her friends, they all laughed and threw the coaster on the ground as they left. 2) A woman was complaining that Costco needed to start selling Plan B. Because she was tired of paying $65 at Walgreens. Both of these are examples of why MOA is so important, and truly effective.

My Daily Journal
Hi everyone, In the interest of personal development, I am starting a daily journal on here. I'll post new entries at the bottom of the thread. Feel free to comment on anything I write. A few times in my life, when I've taken goals or projects VERY seriously, I have kept a journal, which makes me more committed to the process. As I mentioned, moving from the DC area to Sothern California is a big move for me and I'm ready to start a new phase / chapter of my life. Each day when I post, I'll highlight the key things I did that day and any thoughts, musings, or recaps of social events observations. I want to keep this journal out in the open so others can see it, and I can hold myself more accountable. -Sanders

@Sanders Gg Good perspective, what I’ve been doing recently and working on it, just taking action, there where many times that I waited for the right time, being motivated, hated doing something and what I noticed is that, it has to be done, just do it. I’m continue to remind myself constantly to take action
