Hello and thanks for this community!
Glad to be here as I'm hoping to learn how to make more out of my youtube channel. I've been on youtube for quite some years, started out to share videos of me and my dogs in agility competitions and stuff like that. Then I became a professional dog trainer in 2018 and I've started adding my website links and FB group links in the videos I post. I'm randomly sharing videos of my dogs, their training, some public teaching videos but in spite of just over 2000 subscribers, there are only a few views on most videos. I had one jump up to over 2000 views very quickly where I showed how I started my puppy on heel work but that was an anomaly. Looking forward to learning how to grow engagement on my channel and eventually make $$ šŸ˜€

Welcome to the tribe!
Out of these two which do you like?
Out of these two, which do you like or what would you change? The difference is in the color enhancement...thoughts? It is the cover of the video, not the thumbnail, although I may modify it for the thumbnail. Which brings me to a question... Should the thumbnail and cover be different from each other, or does it matter?

I’d go with the one that grabs attention more! For thumbnails and covers, keeping them consistent helps with branding, but a slightly different version can create curiosity. Which one are you leaning towards?
Picking a niche
I want to start creating content, but I don’t want to lock myself into a niche that I’ll get bored of in 6 months. How do you balance niching down while keeping things open enough to evolve?

Picking a niche feels like a huge decision, but here’s the truth just start. Create what excites you, test different ideas, and let your niche find you. The more you post, the clearer it gets!
I finally feel comfortable on camera!
I used to cringe so hard watching myself in videos, but after posting consistently, I actually feel normal recording now. If you’re still feeling awkward—trust me, it gets better!

amazing!
First comment from a stranger!
I’ve only been posting for a short time, and today I got my first comment from someone I don’t know. 😳 Feels wild that people outside my friends & family are actually seeing my content.
