🌿 Tune-In Tuesday
Today feels like a continuation of what I realised I needed this week… Yesterday was very much an action day. Resetting the house, clearing space, getting things back into some kind of order. And today I’m just tuning into that a little more. --- I’ve realised how much I needed to reset my environment. To declutter. To clean. To make things feel a bit more aligned again. --- But something I noticed last night… I didn’t have the energy for anything mental. So instead of trying to push through, I just focused on the physical side of things and left the rest. --- And today, what I feel like I need is to create some space mentally. So I’ll be doing a gentle admin reset… going through what’s been sitting in my mind, figuring out what actually needs my attention this week, and what can wait. Nothing heavy. Just enough to feel clearer. --- I’ve brought my summer clothes down from the loft, and at some point this week I’ll start shifting things over… lighter colours, brighter pieces, just a change in energy. And it feels like more than just sorting clothes. It feels like a bit of a reset. --- There’s also a deeper layer to all of this at the moment… We’re wanting to move home. And I think that’s why I’ve been feeling so called to care for the space we’re in right now. For me, it’s about appreciating what we have… while also opening up space, physically and mentally, for what’s next. --- Nothing big today. Just tuning into what feels right, and letting that guide me. --- If you take a moment today… Just gently check in with yourself: What do you need today? And… Is it something physical, or something mental that needs your attention right now? --- Let that guide you šŸ¤

@Lea Kendall It's one of mine as well. My nervous system CANNOT relax if there is a mess. I spend so much time and energy tidying and cleaning up, and I turn around and my kids have undone it and I feel like I can never rest. I keep working on myself for this, because I know logically that homes cannot look like a magazine 100% of the time, but it is so triggering to me. This is one of those things that I really struggle with.

@Lea Kendall That's great for you -- truly -- that you have come to that point. It is truly freeing to get there. For me personally it isn't even about what other people think. It is just my need for order to feel relaxed. If I see something that needs to be done, I simply can't truly relax because I know it needs to be done. So I need to figure out how to deal with that.

I’d love to ask you something this evening šŸ¤ Overwhelm is something that comes up a lot… that feeling of having so much to do, not knowing where to start, and just feeling a bit stuck in it all. I’m really curious… How do you currently deal with that when it comes up? Do you have something that helps you: – prevent it building up? – or move through it when you’re in the thick of Or does it sometimes just feel like everything hits at once? I’m starting to build something really simple around this… A gentle reset that helps you: – get everything out of your head – feel a bit more grounded – and take one small step forward Something that could be used weekly, or even in those moments where everything feels a bit too much. I get quite easily overwhelmed. When I get to that point I have a few things I use to help. 1. EFT tapping 2. Eden Energy techniques -- I do the daily routine every day and I follow up with some specific exercises to clear the energy and feel better quickly, or 3. interrupting whatever I am doing to get some fresh air.

@Danielle Thompson look up Donna Eden the daily energy routine. Also useful: the triple warmer smoothie, the Wayne cook posture and holding the neurovasculars. They have videos for each of these :).
Wellness Wednesday 🌿
Midweek check-in… Have you done anything this week to protect your energy, your capacity, or your wellbeing? Not perfectly. Not in a ā€œself-care routineā€ kind of way. Just in small, real-life moments. This week, I’ve been trying to let myself flow a little more instead of forcing everything. After a bit of a heavy weekend, Monday became more of a reset day. I still made space to be present with Connor and have some proper connection time, while also gently finding my footing again. I’ve been leaning back into simple things that help me feel steadier: ✨ resetting the house at night so mornings feel calmer ✨ switching off at 10pm instead of pushing myself too far ✨ coffee, cake, and a catch-up with my best friend this morning ✨ allowing myself rest when I needed it instead of feeling guilty for it And tonight, me and Lee are hoping to have a little time together too. Nothing fancy, just slowing down enough for some connection and a couples massage once Connor settles. Sometimes wellbeing isn’t about adding more. Sometimes it’s about softening the pressure a little. So this is your reminder to check in with yourself today… 🌿 What’s one thing you’ve done this week that’s supported your wellbeing, energy, or capacity in some way?

This is really simple, but just looking out the window and admiring all the beautiful colors in the yard. After a long winter, the leaves and flowers returning is such a delight -- I have been marvelling the birds chirping, the scent of the warmer air. These little things bring me such joy.
