Microbiome
As much as I would love to do a FMD or even a water fast (I’m curious about that one) I have to listen to what my body needs right now and not what my brain is curious about. So I will be focusing on building and nourishing my microbiome. I think anything stronger will be too much for me at the moment as I’m riding the waves of a chronic fatigue / fibro crash. As with any crash everything goes out of whack including my gut. So I am going to focus on miso soup (also easy to prepare when I’m struggling with fatigue) and including some occasional small amounts of fermented food ( I saw an Ayurvedic doc last year and he said to limit citrus and fermented foods). Also focusing on nourishing veggies soups which are easier to digest when energy levels are low. I know I’m not going to shift any ‘stuff’ from my body but right now I need to just nurture and build myself up. I’ll include movement each day but this will vary depending on what I can do. From simple stretching lying down or a few crawling movements - there will be something I can do each day. My real challenge is not to get frustrated by it all - my endless mind challenge but I will continue to meditate and hopefully that will help me stay grounded and not in my head.

Day 1 dirty fasting…
The nature of adversity habits is to start where you are. Don’t be so ambitious you set yourself up for failure then beat yourself up.

Hmm…you have given me so much to think about! Don’t worry if not perfect, the small and sometimes tiny steps forward are still steps forward even if there are a few slips along the path. Thanks Cate

I was trying a yoga session at home and it has a lot of chanting/mantra throughout. First time, even though I was home alone I felt incredibly conscious of not being loud - my neighbours might hear! 👂 felt awkward too. I tried it again a few weeks later (and maybe it helped that I knew my neighbours were away) but I just followed along and during one of the HHHHHUUUUUTTTTTT said loud and pushing breath out with it I felt something clear in my throat. It was an incredible feeling. I often get a croaky voice, it’s my weak spot, but it hasn’t been as croaky as much since this release. I’m curious about it and will try the exercise again. It has opened me up to the power of voice, vibration and a different use of breath.
