My mommas beautiful flowers.
My momma sure did love her daylillies. While they do make me miss her they also make me feel like part of her is still here. The orange ones were my great grandmother's and we've been raising these for over 100 years in my family. Whenever someone has moved they've always went with us. They're a different breed than the standard orange daylily that grows wild everywhere. They have a rare double bloom. If you can't tell I was and still am a mommas boy 😁 She's gone but never forgotten 🤎🤎🤎

Sifting with new sieve
Castings are a bit moist still so not sifting as well as yesterday's batch but we can at least see how nice it worked

@Tiffany Arellano i know the feeling!
Can I see your setups?
I’ve seen some of your wormery and bin setups, which had been super helpful as I start my journey. 🪱 What has been successful for you? What hasn’t been so successful? What are your goals (using up food waste, gardening, worms for fishing, selling castings, selling worms)? Can some of you include where you purchased the items for your setups (shelving, bins, builds, etc). Show me the good, the bad, and the ugly of your journeys. I could use some inspiration. 💖

@Rick Redding that’s really cool, the wheels were a smart move. Plus, who wants to try to drag something that size around? I like the idea of locking wheels on anything I can have wheels on lol.

@Tiffany Arellano I hear you! Mine is in an unused kitchen dining nook area, inside. They would fry outside or in my garage. I know what you mean, I water really early. I could do it late at night but I get eaten alive even more by mosquitos then.

You guys inspired me. Well that and a package got dropped off! This is mainly for chopping produce, but look at how well it goes with SMS! I'll see if it makes cardboard fluff later as well. This thing is awesome! Actually, tested it. No joy on the cardboard. And in vid 3, I'm going to try it in ONE breeder bin. Also, don't judge me on wearing socks with sandals. It's just one of those days!

@Rick Redding The link takes me to a list various items but not the chopper you’re using.

@Rick Redding I searched it from the title in your screenshot. Thank you!

What do you do when you're old, not supposed to bend or twist at the waist and lifting isn't a great idea - BUT - you have a 50 gallon tote just BEGGING for worms? You build this! If you want to see where it goes, check out @Leah Pari 's "Can I See Your Setup" post. P.S. I'm not skinny, but i'm also not as fat as that picture represents! Kathy is going to be replaced as camera person if she keeps this up!

@Rick Redding you did this with a skill saw?! Color me impressed! Your lines are straight and everything lines up neat and tight.
