Swimming underwater
GM Coach Jeff, I’ve been trying to learn how to swim underwater. When I try to go down under the water I rise back to the top or I met resistance when I press down to go deeper. Do you have a video on how to do this? What are your recommendations?
How to Stand Up From A Back Float
Caribe Nation, Many of you have asked how to stand up from a backfloat. Step 1: Slowly look at your toes Step 2: Bring your knees into your chest Step 3: Do a BIG circle with your arm(s) Step 4: Bring your feet to the ground Remember, practice is the key to proficiency. Leave your comments below! BIG Love, Coach Jeff P.S. For my American swimmers, Happy 4th of July 🧨

My motivation came from health reason. I wanted a complete exercise to help me reverse my blood sugar levels. Swimming relaxes my mind, good for lowering blood pressure and brought down my blood sugar to normal levels with reduction in the medication. I learned to swim at 59 and I’m glad I did.
Early morning practice
Up early getting ready for morning aquatic aerobic, swim and treading practice my goal is 30:00 min. Working to build a stronger tread each time.

It went well was able to tread 5-10 mins with a vertical float for rest, repeated 6 times with full back float for recovery. Full load aquatic workout, swam 12 laps 25 meters then tread drill. I was tired and hungry afterwards 😆
Update on my progress
Hi Coach @Jeff Wood and Coach @Meredith Barrington I today managed to glide and push forward after half hour of practising. I even found gliding towards open water more comfortable, as I could use the wall to kick off and propel myself. I managed to get 5 pushes at 4 sec hold each time. When I stood up, I saw that I was half way across the pool. I absolutely love learning and I am now on video 4, effortless breathing. I am practising the breathing procedure at home before I can try it in the pool. It's an amazing feeling that I've come this far 😁 ❤️. I am really not sure why, but, my body feels looks it wants me to do the breast stroke kick? 🤷‍♀️ . I don't know how to do that, so I refrain from trying, just in case I end up at the bottom of the pool 😂 Thank you once again 🙏

Awesome, I found the more you work at it your confidence grows stronger. It’s helps to review the videos before and after each skill to help master it. Before long you will be able to swim across the pool with ease.

I just learned to swim 3yrs ago. However I had a lot of anxiety when it came to deep water. I’ve watched this channel many and taken good notes
