Something I realized today
A website can be beautiful and still not bring customers. It’s not always about looking fancy it’s about clarity. Do you think business owners focus more on beauty or on clarity?

The website has to be crystal clear on what it does on viewpoint or else visitors will skimp over the rest of the site. Beauty alone wont even cut it. That's why I had to hold back and focus on other aspects. Cause at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how many ui kits you have or bought if the goal of conversion is not set in stone and I can guarantee you, it wastes more time.
Please do NOT do more than what you have been asked to do.
As A web designer/developer. A web design/development freelancer’s job for me is to deliver a site that: 1. Looks good → clean, professional, trustworthy design(I got credit for this one). 2. Works well → speed, responsiveness, accessibility, bug-free(Deploy from Github). 3. Communicates clearly → web copy that answers the visitor’s questions (AEO mindset). 4. Has the basics in place → technical/on-page SEO, schema, structure, CTAs. That’s the foundation. That’s what I SHOULD be mainly focused on. HOWEVER I draw the line at: - Running paid ads (Google, Meta, etc.). - Driving ongoing "traffic" campaigns. - Managing email list growth at scale. I don't make assumptions on guarantying off page traffic or leads IF I have NOT done so myself. That's not my job; its up to the client. Don't make that same mistake. Sorry if I have posted this one before but I needed to get this off my mind for awhile now.

@Atahrva P VERY good question Atahrva. Its having to say no to getting traffic/leads. That's up to the CLIENT for that part as I'm just proving the actual web design, some development and a better converting webcopy for the website. My biggest mistake was thinking in practice I have to provide paid ads services which is extremely dangerous. I was doing great with the credit testimonial and ALL they wanted was a better clean website and I should have stick to that which worked.
What is your biggest problem right now ?
Hey Web Designers 👋, Hope you’re all doing great! I just wanted to ask: what’s your biggest challenge right now, and how are you planning to solve it? Let’s make this a community post where we can share our struggles, exchange ideas, and maybe even come up with solutions together. 💡 Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

The #1 Client-Killing Mistake Most Beginners Make (And I Did Too)
When I started, I focused more on making pretty sites than profitable ones. Design means nothing without conversion flow. Learn layout psychology. Learn the CTA hierarchy. Clients don’t want pixels—they want results.

I TOO made the mistake in thinking I need to impress with a pretty site. What changed that is showing up and presenting the website as is and the client was pleased just the same; sections an all thus landed my first testimonial back then.
Prices
If we're just starting out in this industry what would the best prices be for stand plus and premium if i were to have those?

Well, it depends on the market as sometimes if you are in a different country you have to consider lowering the starter cost. As someone who has his first testimonial with a credit(testimonial), I can say with confidence that $300-$450 is a good starting point. $350-$600-$750 is PUSHING it if little experience. HOWEVER what you do not do is charge lower than $110 even if its just a cheap landing page. You devalue yourself like that.
