Today’s game, my daughter suffered some really disgusting verbal abuse from the opponent’s players. I made a complaint to the ref, who heard some of the horrible things that was said - he even ‘sinned binned’ one of the players. Our coach is also putting in a complaint but I just can’t get over what happened. I understand frustrations can run high in games and some players vent that frustration but this was beyond the ‘normal’ verbal comments made. As a parent, I’m wondering if I should have done more, or even complain to the club directly about their players unacceptable conduct. Our coach said he’ll handle it via our club. My daughter is ok now, she’s processed what’s happened and managing to take the positive out of what’s happened but it’s just not sitting right with me.

As I said earlier we played a team today who love to just hit it long. We haven't beaten them before so today was big We went 1-0 up early before I conceded a one on one. I came out but the ball just got passed me. We then went 2-1 down from a free kick which I just couldn't get to We drew level from a penalty. Second half saw us score again and go 3-2 up. I had to keep the score that way though as I had a number of saves to make. Mostly one Vs one. No potm today. But I did get a mention from the opposite team for doing so well. How did everyone else get on.?
