Debut Trail Run
Completed my first trail event today, not going to lie, that was hard going! It was wet and muddy (news today said this January Madrid's rainfall has been 300% of the usual), I fell over at km16, and the last 3km were an effort. Per the screenshot in the days before I had a bout of diarrhoea and sickness, and I feel shattered now. Got it ticked off though and calling that a win👌

HAPPY NEW YEAR! LET’S START THIS PROPERLY Rather than doing the usual “New Year goals” talk, I listened to a podcast from Jay Shetty over the break that really hit home. One line stood out: “Where you are right now is a launchpad, not a trapdoor.” You’re not behind. You’re not stuck. You’re not failing. You’re stabilising, and that’s part of growth. 1. My biggest win last year was following through with what I said I would do. Sounds so simple right? But it’s easier said than done. That one simple phrase turned my life around. I stuck with a workout program without flopping after a couple of weeks. I completed my first marathon. I took negative people out of my life. All of that and more only happened because I kept my word to myself instead of staying in my comfort zone. 2. My word for 2026 is “self-prioritizing”. I’ve always been one who stretches herself thin by always saying yes to everyone and putting other people’s happiness before my own. I learned the hard way that not everyone returns that energy. This year I’m focusing on decisions that are aligned with my goals and best interest only! 3.My daily action is reminding myself to live in the moment instead of always thinking of the future. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Completing the small daily to do list is what will get me closer to being the person I could only dream of. Adding to my list is giving Jay Shetty a listen! ☝🏼

Team, it’s the 1st of December… Time to set the tone for how we finish this year. Start calorie PLANNING. Tracking = documenting mistakes. Planning = preventing mistakes before they happen. Every night: - Plan tomorrow’s meals - Decide training time - Put it in the calendar - Lay your clothes out - Pack your bag - Pre-log 80% of your calories 2–5 minutes. But it removes HOURS of stress and dozens of bad decisions. Your brain can’t make great choices when it’s tired, stressed, or hungry. Decision fatigue is real — and it’s the reason most people fail. Proactive people win because they make the right decisions when their mind is FRESH… Then simply follow the plan when life gets busy. This is how we operate in this team. This is why you’re here. This is what separates you from everyone coasting through December. If you build ONE habit this month: 👉 Daily Battle Planning. Plan tomorrow tonight. Set the intention. Remove the friction. Hi everyone! Here from Texas checking in! 🤠🇺🇸 Never in my life have I been a runner but here we are. This is my farthest run to date. Every week I surprise myself more and more with the distance. Although muscle strength is a factor, I have learned that running is a massive amount of mental strength. You’re stronger than you think!! I truly believe anyone can become a runner if they choose to be. Might just give up riding the horse to work and just run instead! 😂
