Growth, one small step at a time
The past 2 weeks has been all about showing up - waking up and heading to the gym. My workouts have moved to be more endurance and mobility focused than "build muscle". Amidst all that very nice PRs have been achieved: Lateral raises - 4kg -> 6kg Deadlift - 35kg -> 40kg Lat pulldowns - 24kg -> 30kg Vertical rows - 24kg -> 28kg It was pain and fulfillment at the same time to have hit those weights - sometimes the big wins just come along and take you by surprise. In other wins, I see more muscle definition here and there - there's line in my quads, the delts are showing up too - my whole figure definitely looks more slim than before and it is amazing to see. Growth! Everyone take care of yourselves!

We talked about: - push past comfort zone vs genuine fatigue - basketball training + injury prevention - creatine gummies? - energy drinks, yay or nay - hard to stay at maintenance - losing the last 15 lbs - should you finish all macros even if you're full? - prebiotic soda? Great talk! See you 'bro's' next week 😊

Progressive Overload Isn’t Just for Muscles
Today I realized we should progressively overload our mindset too. Last year, I probably would’ve driven away from a crowded gym. Today… I waited. I adapted. I stayed. That’s mental progressive overload. The 170 lb glute bridge PR is exciting… But the real win was becoming someone who no longer lets small inconveniences make big decisions.

💯% agree👍🏾Mindset is what needs To Progress the Most, and then everything else to follow.
⭐️ Client Spotlight! Jared ⭐️
When @Jared Nation came to us, it wasn't only about fat loss and building muscle. He wanted to be there for his kids and his grandkids later on. He expressed that he wanted to do things he loved doing for a long time. He lacked knowledge around nutrition. He struggled with consistency. He was always tired after work. He was 197 lbs. at 49 years old. 🔥 He's dropped 41 lbs. 🔥 Lost a significant amount of visceral fat (dangerous fat) 🔥 Feels way more energetic and optimistic about the next few decades! And yes, he understands that his training needs to ramp up a bit to put on more muscle 💪 It does get tougher as we age, but it is 100% possible. We are all a work in progress. And Jared has been WORKING! Super proud of you, bro! Shoutout Coach @Tyler Lo for the awesome support on his journey! If you're curious about how we helped him, comment SIMPLE and I can send you a YouTube video of the system we used. You are worthy too of a healthy body!
