First Marathoner Survival Guide!
Hey everyone!! I've got a Wednesday mini episode coming out this week where I'm walking through my full survival guide for running your first marathon. It's essentially five things I wish someone had told me before my own first one, pulled from a hundred plus guest interviews and my own five marathons!! I know a lot of you are deep in fall training right now, so I wanted to give you early access before Wednesday. Attached is the guide with all five tips laid out. We're talking: fueling strategy, why your easy pace matters more than you think, and why the worst runs in your training block might actually be doing you a favor. Give it a read, and I'd love to hear which one hits home for you right now!!

These are so good 👌🏻
Cramps
Ran a tempo run on the treadmill yesterday and my left leg started cramping and I’m still feeling the discomfort today. Any recommendations?

@Aury Moreno Yes I hear you on the water thing and multiple bathroom trips 😆 But I can’t tell you how many times simply drinking more fluids has helped me feel better. Good luck and hope it settles up quick 😊

Strength for runners!!
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about incorporating strength into your marathon routine :) I have a few YouTube videos that I follow for at home workouts, I’m happy to share them in the comments!! What are some of your favorite tips for strength training/what are you struggling with right now? 👇

Thank you for this share @Taylor Ade! As soon as I regularly incorporated strength training into my off-season (heavier) and race season (maintenance), I noticed a dramatic drop-off in injuries/niggles. I found it helpful to establish a regular strength training program during my off-season so I could get used to doing it in conjunction with running, then sustain a slightly lighter program once I shifted into race training. Forming a habit you can keep up is key. Even if it’s as simple as 20 minutes of compound movements twice a week, it WILL make a difference!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAYLOR!
Let’s all wish our brave and inspiring leader a happy 29th birthday today!!! We’re all cheering you on for your 29km this morning! 🫶

@Emily Bailey Up til now I was using the Amphipod hydraform ergo-lite, but unfortunately both of my bottles starting leaking. So I scoured the internet and found Nathan pinnacle light 20oz handhelds. I’m going to try it on tomorrow’s long run! I think they will be a game changer.

@Emily Bailey I will for sure! I’ve been using the Nathan Exodraw 18oz for shorter runs for the past 3 years and it’s been perfect. Hoping that the pinnacle flasks will be just like it 🤞🏻
