Every “feral” pigeon in our cities is a descendant of birds we bred, birds who trusted us enough to live at our side. My grandfather had bred them for the war effort and the stories are many. They don’t deserve insults. They deserve respect — for their history, their loyalty, their resilience, and their quiet partnership with us.
