Are you slacking off til January?
Be honest, are you? Last year after my daughter was born in November, I remember it was BRUTAL trying to get anything going with new clients. Then in January, it was like someone turned the πŸ’‘ back on. My main client right now has a big dip every year in December too, even though there's REALLY no reason for this industry to have seasonality. It's not like we're installing pools or something. Me personally? I'm doubling down while everyone else is half asleep. I have products to finish, a new outreach system to test, an email list and a group to build... I'd rather be a month ahead than a month behind once January hits. What about you? πŸ€” Do you consider December 'lost,' or do you double-down while everyone else slacks off?

Keeping the momentum going til a few days before Christmas. I typically slow down the week between Christmas and New Year’s, but this year I feel I’ll keep momentum going!

Welcome to the inaugural post of Funny Money. What lies before us is a barren plot of land, but with diligent cultivation and a complete disregard for social norms, we shall shape this wasteland into a land of plenty. Let's keep this first one simple... What's currently the LEAST FUN aspect of your biz? None of these hit the mark? Drop a comment below and tell me what's got you down.

@Mike Figueroa Welcome, Mike! I empathize with you. I’ve had to reinvent myself a few times over the years. Have you considered joining local networking groups? Or the local chamber of commerce? It will get your face and name out there. It will take time to build from there, and it’s doable. Instead of trying to sell yourself, take the time to find out about the other business owners. Take each one for a cup of coffee, ask him to tell you about themselves and their business, ask what problems they are facing. It’s quite possible you know someone who can help them. By becoming a resource for them, you stay in their mind as someone with integrity instead of someone just trying to sell themselves. Then, you’ll start getting referrals! It will take some time to build your business that way, and the referrals you will get will be golden. Also come up with a product or service – an angle – that is your unique selling proposition – what sets you apart from the other web designers. Think of a few, try them, and see which works. Hang in there! You can do it!

‼️ Your favorite bribe?
Couple days ago I asked what it would take for YOU to help promote this group. I made a CLASSIC mistake: Asking an open-ended question. Don't be like Nick. So tell me...which of these bribes would you prefer? If NONE of these...SOMEHOW...appeal to you, then tell me what would get you on board in the comments below.

Since I have not yet learned, from the training I am in, how to market my new biz, not sure which one would work!
How to thwart bots clicking your ads
Ads are great. I've been using them for almost a year. Biggest issue? Especially with Facebook ads? Bot traffic. Here's how I'm dealing with bot traffic to this Skool group (see screenshot). See the high-tech screening question I'm using? Broccoli is my favorite fruit, too. How many of you are running ads, or plan on running them soon? Ads to what? Services, products? Let's hear it.

I'm building an online high-ticket Shopify store. So running Google ads (and perhaps on other platforms) effectively is my goal. I've not had good success in the past, but that was for small ticket items, so lots more competition. With high ticket items, it will be easier to target ads, or so I'm told by my mentors.
We need some gasoline
How to grow when you have (almost) nothing? I'd like to enlist your help growing this community (while I keep cajoling your fellow email readers). Maybe you want to help out of the kindness of your heart. Or perhaps you need a bribe. In which case... I want to offer 3 'tiers' of bribes to anyone who helps us grow. 1. Anyone who gets a single member to join 2. Anyone who brings at least 7 members 3. Everyone in the group, if we hit a certain number of members total. 75? So, let me hear it. What kind of bribes would get you out of bed in the morning? Any ideas?

Working solo for so long, not sure if I know anyone who would enjoy and benefit from this! I'll put my thinking cap on. 🀠

@Nicholas Bandy Right now I'm not prize oriented. And I will think on my contacts and who might enjoy this group!
