157 Money Levers (More Cash, Less Time, Less Stress)
Made a post the other day about 9 'levers' we can all pull to make more cash and save time in our businesses. Mentioned I came up with them in a minute or so... Well, here's what I came up with after a bit MORE than a minute or so: 157 ways to find LEVERAGE in your freelancing business, escape that wild cashflow rollercoaster, fire some of your clients, and start earning those crisp, "client-less" dollars many of us dream about. Yank These Money Levers!

I just remembered one KILLER monetization lever I left off this list... Super last minute but a group I'm in on Skool is running an AUCTION right now and the current high bid is $8,000. Anyone want to see how this works? If there's any interest, I'll drop a Loom video tomorrow.

Just saying...
The Upwork Thread
A lot of you have been asking about Upwork specifically, and while this group is not about 'how to win clients on Upwork,' I think there IS a place in this world for Upwork discussion that isn't the hive of negativity formerly known as Reddit. So...here you go! Have at it. What's working for you right now? What isn't?

@Paul MacLeod Did you have any signs he'd be a pain before the job started? Other freelancer reviews, his messages to you, etc.?

@Paul MacLeod 'promised more work' is an automatic red flag to me, but I understand that as a new freelancer you don't have a lot of options. It's tough to bide your time and screen jobs when you're new, but I think you managed it pretty well. Did you get your review?

Welcome to the inaugural post of Funny Money. What lies before us is a barren plot of land, but with diligent cultivation and a complete disregard for social norms, we shall shape this wasteland into a land of plenty. Let's keep this first one simple... What's currently the LEAST FUN aspect of your biz? None of these hit the mark? Drop a comment below and tell me what's got you down.

@Donna Wojtas excuse me a 'biscuit' is a flaky, buttery breakfast bread. I will excuse you this once. How exactly are you doing brand photoshoots with AI? That sounds interesting

@Jamie Chughtai I think that's smart--one thing I would say is not to focus too much on your "tools" or framework and more on the outcomes clients get. Matching your example projects to smaller Upwork gigs like you mentioned is a good idea, too. Both of the gigantic contracts I pulled from Upwork started as something small--write a blog post, write a landing page.
Are you slacking off til January?
Be honest, are you? Last year after my daughter was born in November, I remember it was BRUTAL trying to get anything going with new clients. Then in January, it was like someone turned the πŸ’‘ back on. My main client right now has a big dip every year in December too, even though there's REALLY no reason for this industry to have seasonality. It's not like we're installing pools or something. Me personally? I'm doubling down while everyone else is half asleep. I have products to finish, a new outreach system to test, an email list and a group to build... I'd rather be a month ahead than a month behind once January hits. What about you? πŸ€” Do you consider December 'lost,' or do you double-down while everyone else slacks off?

@Jamie Chughtai Most biz owners are mentally clocked out after Thanksgiving--I think that's smart.
‼️ Your favorite bribe?
Couple days ago I asked what it would take for YOU to help promote this group. I made a CLASSIC mistake: Asking an open-ended question. Don't be like Nick. So tell me...which of these bribes would you prefer? If NONE of these...SOMEHOW...appeal to you, then tell me what would get you on board in the comments below.
