MKAL colors and gauge
I went ahead and bought yarn but feel like it needs to be lightened up. Any color suggestions? I am getting 22” in 4 “ but like the fabric on my US 6 needles. Would making the larger size solve my issue ?

Mkal yarn choices
I am looking forward to watching all these beautiful color combinations evolve but must admit to feeling overwhelmed at the idea of combining different yarns.🤯 I definitely have the stash, but find that I must be a “paint by the numbers” sort of gal. I sure admire everyone jumping in with their choices …. You give me inspiration !

I am getting braver but might just buy yarn and not stress out.

Pre-washing your yarn?
Hi everyone! So excited to join this group and the MYAL, my first. One question about using high contrast colors - I am anxious about the dark colors of Color C bleeding when I block with a very light Color A/D, especially as some of my yarns are made by smaller producers. Do you have special suggestions to avoid that? Still working to identify my colors, but anticipate high contrast no matter what I choose. Thank you!

I have found that using a “color catcher “ made by Shout in the water when I soak to block does an amazing job at keeping the colors from bleeding
Yarn sources
Hi, For those of you in the US. if I may ask, what are your favorite yarn sources? I have one here but their stock is very limited.

I don't have a local yarn store so buy my yarn online. Miss Babes, Fiberoptics, Arcane , Webs, Jimmy Bean are some of my go to stores.
Every Master Was Once a Beginner—Keep Crafting
To all creators in this craft community, remember this: failure is not the opposite of success—it’s part of it. Every crooked stitch, every splintered wood, every cracked mold tells a story of growth. You don’t fail when something doesn’t work out you fail only when you stop creating. Success isn’t perfection it’s persistence. It’s trying one more time with better hands, sharper eyes, and a stronger heart. So whether you're just starting or have been crafting for years, wear your mistakes proudly. They're proof that you dared to make something. Keep showing up. Keep creating. Your breakthrough is built on your setback

thank you ... I have always been terrified of making a mistake and not being able to "fix" it. You have helped me feel more willing to take risks
